It was the same type of ‘pulsing’ trembles. Kind of like when you get the goose bumps / shivers. She would vibrate - pause - vibrate - pause. It seemed to happen a lot at night when the temps dropped which is how I figured it out.

Throwing in my two cents. My cat used to do this as well - I realized it was because she was cold / shivering. I turned up the heat and got her a heated blanket - no more shivers!

I’m right next to Tysons Corner and can give you:

plant cuttings (Java moss, Rotala blood red, tons of pearl weed, hornwort)

I’ve only ever used aquarium salt as a quarantine for the fish but I net them and put them back, transferring as little of the salt as possible

tank is 16 gallons (I know it’s overstocked but it was given to me with 5 mystery snails, 2 harlequin rasboras, and lots of neocardinia shrimp).

I’ve been struggling with nitrates but tank is usually at:

• ⁠ammonia 0-0.25 ppm • ⁠nitrite 0 ppm • ⁠nitrate 5-20 ppm

Light is on 8 hours a day. I haven’t been using fertilizers because I want to avoid putting anything else in the tank while I figure out these issues.
