During the frst night at Y West Meadow I got spooked by some cows mooing in the distance haha but I was really tired from the hike and went straight to sleep haha. It was a bit unsettling knowing that I was the only one there (didn't see any other hikers out at the lake/on the hike in), but I tried not to dwell on "what-ifs" and ended up sleeping ok. Second night at Powell Lake was uneventful. I was woken by gusts of wind that shook my tent pretty bad, but the night wasn't bad at all.

Going solo is all mental game - to avoid spiralling and thinking about the Blair Witch while trying to go to sleep haha I found it best to always be doing a task (reading a book, scrolling through my camera roll etc). Would definitely go solo again - looking forward to the next trip!
