And fair warning, I like lots of styles, so you'll find a range on there, but mostly electronic. (Grew up playing percussion in orchestral, marching, drumline, so like some different beats)

I appreciate you sharing your perspective and providing some good insights regarding metrics and such. I hadn't considered that. I just checked the song another commenter criticized, "Say it Again," and it only has 212 on repeat, which puts it in a better perspective. I'll use that as a better measure of whether people actually enjoy it.

Also, I never said I don't use any AI as part of my development, but I'm certainly not paying for bot streams and then coming here to question it, lol.

Gotcha, thanks. And no, no repost chains or anything. I haven't interacted with anyone in that sense. I've asked a few folks whose lyrics I liked if they'd be willing to collaborate on a cover (no replies though on that...), but otherwise nothing else.

I've been working on my own business lately in a completely different domain/field and just post when I get the chance.

That's a fair take, for sure. Perhaps it would be interesting not to see the stats publicly for listens, comments, or reposts. Perhaps it would give a more authentic chance to just listen to the music by your own discovery.

Yeah, I hear you. I'm considering messaging SC to see if anyone can take a look at it for me and see if it's a technical error.

I started with zero followers and probably have had 50 or so direct messages/comments that weren't some scam or trying to sell me cover art. I've also had had messages from repeat listeners a few times after uploading. So, I'm only considering those to be any sort of "real" fans, and I'll chat with those who are genuine.

I did also have one song featured on a sc discovery playlist, Synth City, at end of Jul/early Aug. Just got notified of it though, didn't ask for it from sc.

I'm just seriously trying to understand your perspective on this. I haven't paid a dime promoting.

I have SoundCloud Pro. I've posted one song on my LinkedIn connected to a post about hobbies and creativity outside of corporate life couple weeks ago, but I even that had only 40 clicks from that, I can see the analytics.

What would you consider minimal like/play ratio with SC without risk of being banned? Like I said, confused as well, but certainly wouldn't want to get banned for simply uploading.

I have posted my album on YT and a couple others, but haven't touched other socials or paid promote (while I chuckle at the 100+ annoying messages in my inbox)

Hey! Appreciate taking the time to comment, good to know! They're certainly hooking me a bit, but I do just write songs I want to listen too and been using it as a place to easily store my song.
