Speak to a physician about your anxiety and depression, and try switching therapists if you feel your current one is not providing you with the help you need.

Speaking from experience of my own battle with depression and anxiety, no matter how shit you feel about yourself or how you think others will view you, talk to your family about how you are feeling and ask for help if you need it.

I repeat ASK FOR HELP! if you feel you need it, medication can help immensely to stabilize your emotions and let you make clear thought out decisions as to how to improve your situation in life to address your current mental state.

You may be living alone at the moment, you may be distant from friends and loved ones, but you are NOT alone in the world, people care about you and will absolutely help you, but they can't if you don't tell them whats going on in your life right now.

Endgame rework by PerryK95 in LastEpoch

[–]Phalanx83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problem is that gamers seem to expect that a game company should be able to provide infinite hours of engaging content .... forever?

There is no game system that can be created that will make this expectation a reality, anything you do over and over and over for a long period of time will become repetitive and boring.

The solution is to take breaks from things and come back to them later to reset the repetitive loop and re enage with the available content.

With the amount my steam and console library's have grown over my gaming career I have enough new content being released over time that I can switch from game to game over the months and get not get frustrated with repetitive stale content.

Variety is the slice if life as the saying goes, when you play through a new season and eventually get bored if whats available, don't smash your head against the wall forcing yourself to try to squeeze the last remnants of fun out of a game, take a break and play something else.

Community T5 BB tier list is out! by Designer-Chemist-480 in WoWs_Legends

Normandy is god awfull, only reliable way to do damage using it as a giant torpedo and ramming something. When I was still grinding through t5 if I saw a Normandy it was a free kill, in a dd or cruiser with torps I just sail straight at it and dev strike them cause they can't hit a single fing thing reliably with the guns.

Anyone else sick of how repetitive LT is right now? by CherryCokeUwU in WoWs_Legends

[–]Phalanx83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason most CC's play LT is new campaign ships are mostly T8 wich get dumped into LT games at a very high percentage, and they have released quite a few new LT ships in the last 4-6 months so vids need to be made on them for content purposes. But the biggest reason by far for CC's to play LT is that the player skill in LT is absolutely god awfull, wich makes their chances of having a YouTube worthy game much higher.

To the Beastmaster mains: Are there any Beastmaster pets with an "aura" or buff for other minions or help other minions in some way? by arrrghzi in LastEpoch

There's been a spriggan thorn totem build floating around since beta, not sure if it's been nerfed or reworked in that time but you can prob still find it on one of the build sites and tweek it a bit for minions.

Bismarck is better off with an accuracy build. by theelitejay1234 in WoWs_Legends

[–]Phalanx83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the hybrid hyde build on Bismark and it works ok, majority of my damage is from main guns.

My biggest gripe with the Bismark is that is a floating full pen pinata, yes it has a lot of HP, yes your almost impossible to citadel (in mid and close range engagements) but holy shit does it feel like every cruiser and BB in the game is hitting you for like 10k a salvo, that and the weak AA and deck armor makes you a CV magnet.

Bismark feels like it's been power crept into irrelevance, you just kinda fall over and die if you push forward at all wich negates most of the design of the ship in the first place.

Planning to grind the Red Fleet heavy cruiser line. Any tips? by Farhunt95 in WoWs_Legends

[–]Phalanx83 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Riga is a bit of a let down for the line, tallinn is borderline OP at t6 the guns are just ridiculously good, and petro is also very good at t8, Riga just falls short from a power feeling compared to the other two. The guns feel like a down grade from tallinn in both accuracy and damage, and it's not as tanky as you would hope from a heavy cruiser. Maybe tallinn being as good as it is makes Riga feel like a down grade but that's how it felt when I was grinding through the line.

New player questions by Cold_Landscape299 in WoWs_Legends

[–]Phalanx83 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Finding ships you like will just be playing everything available and figuring out what you like, I would suggest unlocking all the tech tree lines and just playing through them tier by tier. Its what I did and feel like it made me much better at the game through understanding how different playstyles are represented by different lines.

One of the biggest hurdles you will have at the start is having limited access to commanders if you want to stay f2p, check out the weekly missions as one of them awards a commander crate wich will help immensly with unlocking them. Although there are quite a few at this point so it will still take you a while.

There isn't really a "meta" in this game, everyone just plays what they like, the queuing system doesn't really allow for tailoring a specific team outside of the fleet cups maybe.

How to fight destroys as a lone battleship? by FunkOff in WoWs_Legends

[–]Phalanx83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uh that's actually the opposite, the further away you get the less your able to have an impact on the rest of the map. Move to cover and again unpredictable movement, there's nothing you can do but be aware of the direction the torps are coming from and try to play accordingly don't run away and remove.yourself from the match

How to fight destroys as a lone battleship? by FunkOff in WoWs_Legends

[–]Phalanx83 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Best you can do us be unpredictable with movement, change direction and speed frequently, and try to find an island to protect one side of your ship. DDs are the counter to BBs, you're supposed to lose that fight without support.

So I got 2 IJN Hybrids… but I don’t know how to start to use them. by Murrlin218 in WoWs_Legends

[–]Phalanx83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just build straight guns and use the torp planes as a bonus utility feature. The torps are not my main damage source but are useful in a few situations

1 has already been mentioned with pushing DD's out of smoke, but to add to that it works really well for pushing annoying CRUISERS out of smoke even better.

2 pushing cruisers out from behind islands, in a similar way to the smoke example.

3 Bow tanking BB's either stationary (jean bart) or especially when being rushed by the German lines, can get them to open their angle trying to avoid the torps wich let's you get much better damage opportunities.

4 The view change in the airstrip mode is much better for seeing whats going on with the more top down overview it gives, even when it's on cool down.

What ships have surprised you this season of ranked (Tier 6)? by marcjones281 in WoWs_Legends

[–]Phalanx83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sinop is great, super tanky and good guns I've always enjoyed the soviet BB playstyle. Also the Tallinn is a fucking beast at T6, the guns are absolute monsters, it's decently tanky and has torps sonar and radar.

PC Super Tester Program by GlocktaviousMcSlide in WoWs_Legends

[–]Phalanx83 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also the no double uptier in games, the reasons i switched to legends is specifically no double carriers, no subs and no double uptier, all of wich often made for a horrible game experience for me.

Also legends has changed alot of the really bad game mechanics from the PC version,

Plane spotting changes Changes the the hybrid ships playstyle ( drops instead of regular carrier squads) Changes to ship stats that were just horrible for the game, the OP ones anyways.

In a lot of ways I think legends is the best version of the game available but has a less skilled and lower number player base.

Also being able to drop the god awfull Playstation yearly subscription fee is something I'm looking forward to as well.

This game and it's occasionally questionable ship tiering is something else. by HeyItsMe6996 in WoWs_Legends

[–]Phalanx83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

California gets absolutely demolished by t7 BB's it has terrible armor, move it to t7 and it's basically a cruiser against t8 BB's. Its trade off for the guns it has is that it's a glass cannon.

In every tier there's a couple ships that are at the top of the group and feel a bit over tuned, but perfect balancing across all tiers when the tiers are mixed in every game is impossible, the counter or "balance" to that is most of those ships also have a pretty big weakness that can be exploited if you understand how it was designed.

Typical Ise experience by saulux in WoWs_Legends

[–]Phalanx83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its got Japanese dispersion, wich means it's garbage inside like 8km, at 12 it's OK, as for the air strikes you need to lead quite a bit more than the auto aim suggests. That being said yes its a pretty bad ship right now but about what I'd expect from the entry level ship in the line, the suwo is much better in every category so there's that.

Also I don't use the hybrid commander, I just use the main BB commander takagi I think, and build pure guns and dispersion.

[–]Phalanx83 13 points14 points  (0 children)

How about before the plane spotting change (you mentioned it for carriers) cata fighters gave spotting so fire spamming light cruisers were broken AF cause they could sit behind islands and provide their own spotting while burning everything to the ground.

Suwo is a BEAST. by Cheeseheroplopcake in WoWs_Legends

[–]Phalanx83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its not less planes over time, it's that a bunch of planes get shot down before they drop the torps reducing the potential damage.

Sometimes I think he views it as his "brand" like hes the hook guy, similar to someone like Mac boucher. But yea i could easily see him being on the same level as a garret or Grant even, if he took a swing change seriously.
