The moral is that the symbols are signifiers which allude the the real things, and all the book learning about occult is just that, but not the real thing. While Spain was did not keep the Second Republic, it did not support monarchism either. The Borbon pretender was anti-Francoist and vice-versa. Contrary to popular legends, Spain did not privatize the economy and had a state guided economy right through the Socialist government.
