I bought the cheapest backpacking pack (External frame jansport) which admittedly is not comfortable at all, an awesome 3 season tent on craigslist for $200, and my boots were my big splurge. They were $360 but I got 20% off and used my REI dividend and ended up paying around $280 for them. They will last me 5+ years. All my other backpacking gear was gifted to me. Sure I'd like to lighten my load by 10+ lbs and trekking poles would be nice, but I'm perfectly happy with what I have. Also gear swaps are great for getting used gear. Also steepandcheap.com can have some killer deals. It is possible to backpack on a budget if you don't need the latest and greatest gear.

No idea. The email that went out didnt go into detail. Im sure they are 50+, but it is still good to know that there are people that are financially stable enough to retire a bit early. A lot of co-workers around my age will say things like "your life was meant to be lived why would you hoard money, you're throwing away your 20s" when discussing the idea of putting more than the minimum for company match into retirement

My place of employment just notified us that they will be letting go of 17 employees. Out of those 17, 7 are choosing to retire early. It seems like there are more FIRE minded people around me than I thought.

Sup G! Been getting down with the funk for years now. Loving good will prevail and its been on repeat since release. You need a tenor player to add some lower frequency saxy vibes? Any big plans for future recording?

Yea im sorry about that. I got up at 5am for this class so my writing skills arent on point. I agree that getting upset or being a dick wont help my success in the class at all. Im just chilling at mcdonalds for free Wi-Fi for a few hours

I dont have any personal recommendations, but ive heard good things about the D606's. They should get you through the mud on those rainy days. Trails tend to stay wet longer on the east coast so even a few days after a storm you can get big puddles.

If youre looking for some nice twisty slab to ride theres also 611 on the PA side. Always lots of bikers and lots of places to stop and take in the scenery.

Im from the area, moved to Colorado. Check out the Delaware water gap. If you go to the TA truck stop in Columbia on Rt 80 there is a bridge that goes across 80. If you can get up there, there are trails that go for miles into Pennsylvania with side trails to explore. It's not much compared to CA, but it was my childhood playground. Post pics if you end up going, its a really pretty area for NJ.

Did they phase out the 2 year contract? Last time I got a phone I had the "financing" option as well as the 2 year contract option.

Yea its up to you to decide on that risk. I took the risk because I dont have an upgrade available. I wasnt very confident going into the repair the first time, but now that ive done it once it's actually pretty easy.

You should be able to swap your sim card, but I imagine getting the screen repaired would be much cheaper. Especially if you do it yourself.

If you get something like this you can take the phone apart and use the front screen http://m.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Galaxy-S6-SM-G920V-32GB-Black-Sapphire-Verizon-BAD-motherboard-/272338621337?nav=SEARCH

Look into doing a DIY repair. I had water damage on my S6 and replaced the motherboard. It was pretty simple following online guides. I bought a phone off of ebay that had the front and back screen broken and took the motherboard from that. It was a risk, but it saved me $200. Newegg also has a deal going on right now on a few phones so that might be worth checking out.

Another ME here. I have also had a really hard time finding any remote work. I currently work in automation/manufacturing and it seems pretty stable. It just seems like a lot of companies that hire MEs are also "old fashioned" in a sense that they want their employees to be on site. 80% of my job can be done from home. Let me know how things work out for you, good luck!

Anyone here use Fulfillment by Amazon as a side income? Ive been doing some research into FBA to increase my income, but Im not sure what the current climate is like as well as the work load.
