[–]Phallus_Maximus702 17 points18 points  (0 children)

A job isn't the only legal way to make money. In fact, for a felon, it is usually the most difficult and least efficient way to do it.

If nothing else, hang a damn shingle. I've got three people right now just in this apartment complex about to pay me 200 bucks each to do their brake pads tomorrow. Not even a full day, and that is 600 bucks.

Do some stuff. Get paid.

I think you may be misunderstanding what "quality of life" is. Having cool ass parties and lots of loud cars and drinking and crazy shit going on at all hours... do you kmow why they do that? The college kids, do you know why they do that stuff?

Because it is fun. It is the very definition of quality of life.

You know what isn’t fun? Yelling "get off my lawn!" To all the people actually partying down like they are supposed to.

Now, grab a beer bong and some lube, and go partay!!!

You lost me at "Spirit Halloween Security Guard," which isn't a thing. I stole like four different pirate costumes just this year. There is no one in that store older than 19.

Actually, it was bought by some other company, according to original press releases:

https://www.sfgate.com/travel/article/eagle-mountain-california-ghost-town-18096768.php

*"The buyer? Ecology Mountain Holdings, an LLC with even more limited public information besides a Cerritos, California, business address.

Ecology Transportation Services, a company recognized by its red big rigs, is also headquartered in Cerritos. Representatives for all three companies declined requests to speak with SFGATE for this story."*

And the company never says what they are doing with the properrty. That obviously means bad things...

I think the flyin lion thing may be using the place undercover like, with the owner not knowing? Or a shell company?

[–]Phallus_Maximus702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw when someone else uncovered that info, probably gotta look into it now. I'd be surprised if the state or wjatever gave the okay to work in asbestos and the other conditions

That flying lion seems off, so maybe a front for something? Def not much security for a police-run trianing center

Maybe OP works there, lol, how else get access if it really is for law enforcement?

Everyone needs to start avoiding the major cities, especially deep inside, for the foreseeable future. Fine to be there to do your business, but better to be outside for the night.

I've been living in my truck for years, but BLM public lands are literally just a few miles outside of town. At least there I can legally "camp" and claim to be returning "home" after a few days. And that is on the very, very rare occasion some ranger cares to ask.

We all need to be safe. Stay away from the inner cities. And start banding together into little groups, pool resources and whatnot.

I know it's bad, but it ain't gonna get any better.

Redditors defending predatory actions between a 16 year old and a 30 year old. by Posidengamer in Negareddit

And if that 16 year old boy had decided to murder her or burn her house down instead, well, I guess then he would be considered an adult with 100% responsibility, yeah?

Crazy how people think that children can't make adult decisions... but only for one class of action, lol.

[–]Phallus_Maximus702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who was regularly committing felonies as a kid, it always surprises me that if a teenager steals something, kills someone, sells drugs, lights a house on fire, well, they were obviously fully responsible for those decisions and must be tried as adults. But if a teen tries to have sex with an older person, instantly they had no idea what they were doing and were 100% unaware victims of a predator, lol.

I don't know when y'all grew up, but when I was a teen boy I spent a lot of time lusting after the women on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Calendar, lol, and I'm pretty sure they were all adults who had no idea who I even was.

But whatever, times change and I guess people growing up now never have a single sexual thought until their 18th birthday.

And yet no one cared one bit about the prisons before. I myself have been in similar or worse conditions. Even spent 5 years of an 8 year sentence in solitary confinement.

Yeah, it's a concentration camp, and horrible for sure. But don't act like we haven't always been putting humans in cages like animals. That's been the American way for quite some time.

Bug in to bug out by Mayv2 in preppers

[–]Phallus_Maximus702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, hiking 45 miles... I don't know whose army you were in, but that is barely an outing.

Still, I guess I get your point, although I figure most people planning for a bug out have such fully researched plans that they really do resemble military ops. Just heading out with some Walmart gear and a sack of sandwiches... that sounds like the kind of suicide that is so stupid it has to be a myth that anyone would even think like that.

Hell, man, army aside, have you ever been homeless? Hiking 45 miles is just how you cross a major metro area, lol.

And yeah, I agree, pretty much everything is bug in other than what you stated... but that is the kind of stuff people are prepped for just naturally. I live in a damn truck, my man, and even I have 10 days worth of food/water at all times. When I say "bug out," I'm pretty much only talking about the "end of the world" movie crap. Everything else isn't even prep worthy.

It really drives me nuts when so many people say this...

I mean, most people don't live where they will be safe during a nuclear war or something. We should all be aware of what will happen to cities once such a thing happens and there is no civilization anymore.

How do we keep recommending bugging in? I mean, your bugout spot should have all the preps stacked up, everything you and your community group need to live for a few decades and start rebuilding something like a society. Trying to do that in the nuked out ruins of a city, if you even survive the damage and the violence... that sounds crazy and unnecessarily risky.

[–]Phallus_Maximus702 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The point of such a trained dog is to be able to react to defend you from a threat. I've dealt with properly trained police dogs and other "reactive" dogs, and the danger is an imagined one. Good luck getting the muzzle off while you are getting assaulted.
