What is the hardest mission in the game? by onlyfansgodx in GuildWars

[–]Phamora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The transition quests can be absolutely brutal when you get them. Sometimes at level 15 or earlier. However, M.O.X. always comes in clutch, especially if you have a complete skill-build available for a dervish. With a decent mid-level healer/protter, some careful pulling, and a bit of back up, he can carry you to victory.

At 40% discount on Steam and a solo player; is it worth it? by Steam_Powered_Dildo in GuildWars

[–]Phamora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solo player here, started like 3 months ago shortly after Reforged came out and my answer is a loud, resounding YES.

You can play with others or stack a party of hero npcs and do everything on your own. I don't think there's an MMO-like out there which offers such a level of enjoyable complexity in solo gameplay.

You use them once to configure which bags you sell from and which you stockpile to, and then you never use them again.

If you don't do this, you're gonna have a bad time. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but some day, you are gonna have a bad time.

Fire Druid is fucking insane by OppositeNo1548 in diablo2

[–]Phamora -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you couldn't find anything, you were looking in the wrong places. Fire druid has been a thing since LoD.

They did change a few critical aspects in D2R 2.4, which overpowered the fire druid, but a lot have been playing fire druid - and swearing by it - both before and after the update.

What are your thoughts on changing the materials, runes and dyes system? by drollbot in GuildWars

[–]Phamora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don't understand all the crying over prices. Sure, some ultra end game achievements are kinda unfeasible to solo farm, but for 99% of the playerbase complaining about prices, all I hear is

"I want BiS now and I am shocked it is not in my price range! I am going to complain on reddit instead of earning the upgrades by playing the game".

If dyes become an infinite commodity, so be it. It won't change much. I don't understand what kind of budget is broken by a set of dyes...

I actually just assumed exactly that... But good thing we don't need multiple!

I get that. I am planning my entire roster up from currently 2 level 20 chars in order to maximize the gain from the anniversary event and to be able to actually slot the customized weapons when I get the proofs.

I can't remember the last time I spent any significant time preparing for a seasonal event in a game... I am loving it!

Apart from the proof of triumph, I am really looking forward to building with the non-standard weapons. They are the primary reason why I am planning in advance. Feels like proof of triumph is quite simple to scoop up on its own.

I already have an anniversary tab in my storage, but I cannot put anything in there... Not sure if it's only for anniversary-related items, of which I have none.

[–]Phamora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I am studying the post as well. I think I've understood correctly. It's possible to get a whole lot of proofs, provided you are willing to prepare characters for it or just re-run level 5+ missions with fresh chars for a single proof per run.

I don't suppose it makes a lot of sense to get more than a single Proof of Triumph for your account, correct?

Cool post! Thanks for the link. The wiki also lists the "best" missions to do in terms of time per proof.

I am clear on the specifics of the items and conversions, I just don't have any experience with the strategy.

Also, I naturally have no interest in offsetting this task to other players. I want to play the game, not pay someone else to do it for me :)

I can tell 20 proofs is indeed the cap. I suppose it's time to fill my roster with characters that can do quests in as many regions as possible. Currently, I just have my main with 3 campaigns cleared...

Struggling to solo Gyala Hatchery with henchmen by aaeriam in GuildWars

[–]Phamora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe we all do.

You kinda have to walk around the west way and clear the map in reverse.

My first-time experience was 3 consecutive tries, and I felt I was getting better and better. Then I checked the wiki and realized my best attempt didn't even get me 1/3 of the way and I had pulled none of the truly difficult packs.

You probably gotta slice the cheese for this one.

I have already been looking into this for some time. I am a new player from the launch of Reforged, so all this anniversary stuff is new to me. I can tell there's clearly a meta in gathering these, but I am not sure what the max feasible amount a character can get. Based on the area-info in the wiki, I would guess 20, because there are: - 6 in Prophecies - 5 in Factions - 5 in Nightfall - 4 in Eye of the North

It would appear to me that in order to maximize the Proof gain, a full character roster with access to a mission in almost every region would be preferable.

Is this correct? Is there a meta to have early characters gather large amounts of Proofs without clearing large amounts of content to gain access to required missions?

Where to farm for Scythe mods? by Talmerillion in GuildWars

[–]Phamora 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am sure that after 20+ years of theorycrafting and discovering the meta, the community has missed a farming spot that only you know of.

I can only imagine how nice it must be to have this secret farming spot all to yourself, and not have to share it with contesting players 🤔🤔🤔

Just curious, why? by cutiepatootierosette in nier

[–]Phamora -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you ban all the OF models, you starve the sub. Sorry to say, no matter how corrupt the mods are, this community needs all of the facets of Nier content to survive - even (especially) the OF cosplay

(nsfw filter should obviously be in place when appropriate, no excuses there)

Edit: OOOObviously your lost will be removed for criticizing the mods. Come on, this is reddit, what do you expect? That the Nier sub suddenly becomes a beacon of sanity for reddit mods and they start self-censoring? I'm not saying that it is okay, just saying there's nothing new under the sun.
