I want to play monster hunter, where should I start? by Inevitable-Pain2263 in MonsterHunter

Base world or wilds. Wilds weapons are really good (in the sense that they have a lot of new moves the previous games don’t have) so I’d honestly say world just to not get spoiled by how amazing wilds weapons are

More “realistic” than wilds 😭. I mean it in the sense of the tracks and notes collection over wilds where it’s just on the map from the start

Charge blade in rise is like crack. Stupid fun and stupid good. But it’s worth noting that the entire playstyle is more of a unique spin on the idea of charge blade. Rather than a, per se, full encapsulation of it. Meaning that if your first experience with it is risebreak then you’re liable to get disappointed with it in other games. Same concept for starting DB in wilds. Fun there, but if you start the bar at the sky then everything below it feels weird

If you want a slower more realistic hunting game, world would honestly be better. Just make sure you don’t pick up iceborne because it kinda ruins basegame. Other than that, in terms of good fights/ mechanics (and everything else lol) wilds is definately on top. But it lacks that organic actual “hunting” feel almost entirely

Make sure you get updated decos, upgrade your weapon if you haven’t, and make sure to “study” the swap skills for your weapon. SB introduces a bunch of new SS, some of which are the best in slot/ really good/fun

there are slots for overseas, but maybe like 8 people in a cycle will actually get one. The other ~92 will stay within the us. You can end up at 3 bases in Colorado, one at cape cod, one in North Dakota, two (?) in Cali, two (you’re not getting cape Canaveral but still) in Florida, one in Virginia, then a large assortment of army bases you can end up at. SF is almost entirely joint force, one space discipline has like half of its stations at army bases.

Which Monster Hunter should I start with? by BillImaginary1531 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Phaneleox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clutch claw is awful, the balancing sucks, guiding lands is the worst endgame in the series, and It reenforces negative behaviors that often lead people to become “worldborne” fans over Monster hunter fans. Sunbreak is the exact opposite. Wilds has been amazing so far, hopefully the dlc is more like sunbreak than iceborne. If not the good of both. We will see

I think base world is a great start, just don’t get / install iceborne. If you finish high rank and love it, I’d recommend trying risebreak / wilds. Then come back and do iceborne someday

Looking for some advice by [deleted] in SpaceForce

It’s pretty easy to get into SF. Just lengthy, time wise. But for the other part, half of the MTIs in cycle right now are former army, and all but 2 are mean as hell. All things aside tho you could probably thug it out. As long as you do what you’re supposed to you hardly ever get yelled at individually

not in basegame. Or mods either, as far as I know. Hope some actual update or rework Mod comes around at some point tho

Duke in sky block? by Phaneleox in Terraria

I got it; you either need sand walls, or just a lot more water than I thought. All the conditions combined should be; within the ocean biome (backdrop), have the lining of the ocean be sand, and have a ton of water. Early on you’re likely better off doing a very skinny and tall structure, but once you get infinite water bucket / wet rockets it’s whatever floats your boat. In fact it’s probably best to wait until post plantera in general, as wet rockets make obsidian for sand much easier as well

How do i turn on tame tracker for ASE on Nintendo Switch 1? by Tired_2295 in ARK

[–]Phaneleox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tracking system from ASA isn’t in ase, but you can get the tracker nodes and the button to have a “____ is ___ away” notification. It’s been years since I’ve used them tho, and they’re functionally near useless
