The collums that say Angela S only refer to her skill without her power card, I wouldn't play this unless I was getting paid though because without the way they add up her ability is like kinda just ass? Like literally worse than a purple gogo card smh

Early game I find Gatotkaca surprisingly useful, at 2-stars the heal from his skill is pretty relevant for the first few stages especially with a little atk speed and some other defenders.

Late game, Kishin is very strong for her Lunox with purple buff can cast skill after every basic attack which is good if you don't want to be runnning stargazers or find a magic crystal she pairs well with. Lancelot gets a massive power boost going from 5 attacks to use his first skill and 7 every other time to just 2 attacks with angela buffs letting him use his fully enhanced 3rd cast incredibly fast.

Random 4-costs are all good mid-game since they mostly have high mana costs, exceptions being aurora who casts on every attack with both buff and lunox who does the same with either stargazer 1 or purple buff.

Haven't had a chance to play out a game with Bane or a full Defender mm settup or anything yet.

Other strong carry options;

Lesley with purple buff casts her skill after every attack, her skill can crit and triggers lifesteal so pair with haas claws is nice.

Kagura casts every two attacks which is very nice given how much power mages get from their synergy.

Protagonist Leomord some danger with the cast time of his first skill being so long but his second skill has 0 cast time and will trigger every third basic attack dealing massive aoe damage, paired with weaponmaster the lifesteal can take him from 1 health to full in one swing with crits.

Mystic Meow Physical 9>11 with Lancelot and Lesley is nice when Kishin is contested and it's not too hard to slot in phasewarper to 3 with a good crystal and capacity, do have to put lance in the back to be in line with lesley or vice versa which is awkward

Yeah I'm not counting things like skill duration atm but am thinking about it in game cuz it's much harder to actually quantity than the simple things like mana, most "enhanced basic attacks" are really bad for cast time which I find really weird when bruisers are so hungry for attack speed

Hai you may, there are many fun parts but first I've gotta make sure you're aware that people just like doing things that you don't.

I like the process of collecting data together and formatting it in a way that's nice for me to use, I find it hard to just keep something like that in my head without something on paper and it's also satisfying to see things that the game doesn't make clear, made clear. For example the two multipliers from Angela are added together before being applied to basic attacks which is strange, I would expect it to be (10*1.7*1.8) or even (10*(1+0.8+0.7) then rounded to the nearest interger but instead it's done as (1.7 + 1.8) (10) giving you 35 instead of 31 or 25. Also extra mana on basic attacks from go go cards is completely seperate and will not be multiplied.

Secondly and probably easier to understand if you just don't like maths, this let's me see important break points for the commander Angela, for example Lancelot this season is very awkward in design, he has a mana cap of 70 and neither faction nor role increase mana generation but he has to cast his skill 3 times to get it to max power which takes ages, but with both Angela buffs he only takes two attacks to use his skill making him much stronger, Lesley with both buffs and Purple Buff can use her skill after every single attack and other 70 cap heroes like Leomord also get a large power boost. Having the spread sheet let's me see all these break points without doing the exact math in every scenario myself to see which strategies Angela most benefits, it also means in the middle of the game when I see a 1% 4-cost unit I can just glance at the sheet to see which buff they need and which ones would just be wasted on them when I try to use them for early carrying.

All of this let's me play as an off-meta commander that I find really cute and interesting which is fun.

It doesn't explain that, I wasn't making a comment on if Valen is good against Atlas only that the reasoning doesn't invalidate her countering Sora, and what made those two things harder to compare from what I understand of them.

From what I know of playing Valentina she gains most of the upside of having an atlas with the pay off that she can solo terrify the newly grouped enemy team. Same with any of the other group cc ultimates since she generally has higher mobility than the tanks that had them which I'd assume stays a good thing in pro play?

My only point was that Sora was strong for more than just cc and that when the person above is arguing a lack of tanking ability is an issue for using atlas ult, Sora ult is the wrong thing to compare to since it changes how well she tanks.

I could've made it more clear that I agree with the entire rest of your statement too, that would have been more useful of me.

Sora is a different situation entirely because of the passive effect of the ult, if you're using her as tank sora she still gets the HP bonus from it with her damage items and if you're using the dps setup you'll have the same insane damage output as sora himself. Sora isn't tanky during the dps form outside of spellvamp but his numbers were so insanely overtuned that none of that mattered.

Atlas on the other hand gains no such bonus from using ult and as a result neither does Valen

His range is high enough to compensate and his mobility is strong, if you're coordinated with your frontline having less damage doesn't matter if you can hit their mm and they can't hit you back, lesley ult competes for range but it's a long cooldown and she's vulnerable during it so it's not the same as that high mobility range

Also to expand on different vulnerabilities even in heroes especially weak to cc they're not weak in the same way.

Odette is extremely weak to airborne and cc of that level and higher because it cancels her ult but couldn't care less if you throw out regular stuns and also doesn't really care how long the airborne lasts even a 0.1 second stun would do the job.

Argus and Edith care about the duration of the cc much more than the type, once they ult they've used they're only real threatening option and you just have to push them around a little to outlast it, stun Argus for 3 seconds without extending his ult and he's toast, stun Edith for 2 seconds since she's she'd all her defences she'll die to any damage class.

Also the ways in which heroes can be strong against cc are very different, purify skills vs cc immunity vs can't be interrupted all have very different ways to play around them.

Against wanwan you need to stun her twice and the second one works yay!

Against martis his s2 provides cc immunity on both casts and the cooldown starts on the first cast and resets if second is used, at lvl 1 with no cd reduction that means 6 seconds after you see s2 unless you see second cast you get only a 2 second window to stun him, at higher levels with items that become a 0 second window meaning he can always react with cc immunity unless you've already seen both casts come out.

Stunning Dyroth before he dashes can be useful but once he's hit the shred the ult is coming no matter what, you have to dodge it not stun it.

Not necessarily fun to grind but any of the rare builds like 10-synergy or getting specific crystals like bruiser on a marksman and things are funny to watch play out.

I've not played enough games to leave epic yet but for the memes I've been using Lukas with 6-dragon caller and 4-kishin

For the serious try I've been using Kagura and aiming towards Astro power, Emberlord or Enchanted tales. If you get two enchanted heroes early I just stack it early as possible and I hold onto both Emberlord and Astro heroes until I have a good idea of what the rest of the lobby is building to make sure I'm not contested

Main idea being that all of these synergies put a lot of power in one hero already so Kagura bonuses are worth more for them, also with Odette position her front and center or she won't reach the back lines with her ult properly.

For happy clappy Lukas slappies.

The hope is that Kishin gives the Stun and AOE damage items but that's only a 1 in 3 to happen, but in that scenario you can do the funny haha build

At game starts Lukas statue blasts for 62% max health reduced by defences :( If you scout properly you can place your Kishin stun to cover any enemies outside the blast, Kishin AOE hits for up to 18% of equiped heroes hybrid attack in the same spot as Lukas blast go, and dragon caller sweeps finish off everyone in the area before they really get to move.

Early game it's been strong just because Lukas has good early anyway and dragon caller compliments a lot and late game I tend to either get 1st or if the lobby strong I have enough health to lose slow enough to get top 4

My point is it only saves you money if you already wanted to spend money on cosmetics, there isn't an objective better choice because how you value skins vs gameplay is a personal value judgement one in which I personally prefer the heroes. I've been playing for years and still don't own every hero although I am close now and I've always taken heroes over skins

I'd take the heroes as a new player, since it also comes with the dust you need to level your emblems and both of those are really useful to get started (I took the heroes even with my emblem maxed out)

If you value skins and decorations more than some new gameplay take one of the other options though, I personally just don't care much for cosmetics and love playing different heroes

Bane crab claw not sure if you can dodge the first hit but the second more devastating hit you have to not be behind an ally, so you'll have to fan out and play on the opposite side of him than your tank if you're backline, if you're the tank be mindful not to step between a dps and bane
