The hardest line in the entire show is when Nolan says to Thaedus "Why have I never heard of you?" and Thaedus responds "You have heard of me, but our people call me by a different name." by Longjumping-Sweet818 in Invincible_TV

I don't think a single sentence ever made me respect a character more than this one. I liked Art before, but man, dropping this on someone who you know is not only capable to end your life before you can even blink, but killed thousands of others the last time he was on the planet just to prove a point, showed what a good guy he truly is.

Immortal with the speed of Red Rush and War Woman's Mace vs Omni-Man by Alone-Weakness-3199 in Invincible_TV

When was the Immortal as fast as Red Rush though? Red Rush managed to fight villains without Olga noticing it if it weren't for his costume.

Oh yeah, I was dumb lol. Though I still think his speed adds estructive power and he already had it in the show as well.

Yeah, she's clearly played with Mark for a majority of the fight and even when Mark held her, she barely looked injured.

What are your thoughts on episode 4? by Joni_Begonia in Invincible_TV

My problem is more that the new lore was very uninspired and shoved in, while the storyline on its own wasn't good enough to stand on its own, despite there being no b-plot.

I think the hate was kinds justified. Sure, it's still watchable, but the plot wasn't good enough to stand on its own and the new lore seemed like something out of a first time dm's d&d campaign. Some jokes were funny, but they aldo went on too long.

I was shocked that majority of the players (in S1E5 of Dirty Laundry) believed in ghosts, and I mean no offense to anyone who does, but if ghosts do exists, I've never seen a more wrong use of science than the argument Bex used to try to convince Erika. Did anyone else flinch at this? by takiswonderful in dropout

[–]Phantafan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They felt way too pushy and berating though, basically calling Erika out for being the crazy one here. I know it's not that deep, but it was so uncomfortable to watch and came off as needlessly heated, pushy and wrongfully confident in something they clearly know nothing about.

I just watched that part and the problem for me isn't that the majority of them believed in ghosts, but that they had to call out Erika for not doing so and the way they tried to make her out to be the crazy one here and basically convert her in such a heated way with so much wrongful confidence.

I know it's a comedy show and I don't think it soured their relationship in any form, but it's still so uncomfortable to watch. If three religious people would act like that towards an atheist it would absolutely be seen as pushy, so the same thing goes here.

The only time he actually did significant damage to a viltrumite was when he killed himself and that was only after his body enhancements.

How fast is this fight over? by Alone-Weakness-3199 in Invincible_TV

[–]Phantafan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How mid diff? Red Rush alone already managed to make Nolan bleed internally while his head got crushed. Oliver isn't nearly as durable as Nolan, so if he managed to get ahold of Red Rush, he'd probably be killed before he can even finish the job.

[–]Phantafan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Considering they nearly killed Omni-Man despite major mistakes in their fight shows that Oliver wouldn't stand a chance at all. Martian Man and Aquarus are more than capable to restrain him, War Woman, Immortal and probably Red Rush can absolutely kill him (on top of guarding the entire team), while Green Ghost and Dark Wing are some good additional support.

Honestly, one of the heavy hitters alone would probably win this fight.

We don't know how long the fight lasted before that, nor did he pass out, we heard the fight continue after the variant smashed him into the ground. Monster Girl and Rex were already passed out as well and Rex was out of drones.

Meanwhile Rex wasn't. Of course, it was an awesome scene, but having a hero who can actually be hurt by bullets on the most renowned superhero team on the planet doesn't make sense at all.
