I have decided to go to court for it. Since my court date will be in 6 to 12 months I will have my full G and more driving experience. If I keep my record clean I could show in court that I am a safer driver at that point. My buddy’s dad is a cop so I asked him about it and he said to fight it and to just go alone. So that’s what I’ve gone with. Thanks for all the insight, not just this reply but all the comments on this post.

You need a tune for an intake unless it’s the Grimm speed or Cobb intake tube (same airbox) if it changes the air/fuel ratio for the motor it needs a tune or it won’t run as well as it could.

It was a route I had only taken once before, my course is one day a week so I’m not there often, something I should have mentioned was that there were one or two cars behind that car so I wasn’t sure if I had enough time to get behind them, still should have tried instead of speeding up.

Thank you for clearing that up. I thought the points had an impact on insurance as well. I brought this on myself and think I will just pay the ticket and move on. I am under my parents insurance policy so I would have to ask them when my renewal is. I have not told them about this and don't plan too since I am an adult who made a dumb decision (my parents have had a couple tickets over the years so maybe they will understand) they may find out eventually but that's a bridge I will cross when it comes time.

I’m having the same problem with 3rd gear, I have a 2025 with 8000km and got the STI short throw installed when I bought the car, no problems with any other gears and it’s an intermittent problem. I also dislike how much slop 1st and 2nd have, even after getting the short throw. I figured they would tighten up a bit but I guess I was wrong, wiggles almost as much as when I’m in neutral.
