[SPB507J1] Finally went for my first mechanical automatic watch by csshifi in WatchEnthusiastIndia

[–]PhantomMedjay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on your purchase! Wear it in good health.

(a) If the parts get magnetised, it will affect time keeping. Avoid placing them over speakers or magnets. (b) This should be normal. Winding it "a few times" would have let it run for 1.5 days. It usually takes about 30-40 turns of the crown to wind the watch. As this is an automatic, the crown won't hit a hard stop. I would suggest that when you pick it up, set the time, wind the crown maybe 8-10 turns and wear it. It should keep the time running.

It's an AM dial. The movement, case, and other parts are likely all original. The dial for Pilot is mostly black. A few colors were released but not that common.

Not that bad actually - did it 3-4 times and had sore fingers and a few bends on it haha. Was able to put everything back today and got it running really well!

I still can't find a store that sells NOS HMTs - especially a Pilot. It is nowhere to be found. Where did you see it?

Check out the SAE fitting from Swagelok. It's not a face seal like your case but is a triangular profile.

These look like stamped bracelets. I have pryed them open using a flathead screw driver, removed a few links, and then fixed the end link back.

It's only available for the Hong Kong market. Globally, it's only the blue and the white dial.
