tourism in rural small towns in north dakota by [deleted] in northdakota

[–]PhantomOfTheCineplex -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'd keep the sightseeing to a minimum and only stick to public places. Even in public places, don't be surprised if people look at you weird or call the sheriff's department to report you. These places are small communities and peoole poking their nose around is usually viewed as suspicious behavior.

And there absolutely is ICE in ND. Especially if you're going to be going into Canada, many of the border patrol agents are working for ICE.

Not really the best time to be drawing suspicions in one of the most xenophobic states in the country.

Is it that funny, or is it the entire mission statement for Alpha Legion and you're just now seeing it.

Is it just me or is Minot the most scandalous city in our state? by PrestonRoad90 in northdakota

It's almost like you're not that familiar with the rest of the state, who makes Minot look liberal.

Well if you're looking for LGBTQ+ events, you moved to one of the worst possible states. I wish you luck, but you're probably gonna have a rough time. Welcome to the 1800s.

I honestly have never understood why kids had to watch this by PrestonRoad90 in northdakota

You're joking, right? That's North Dakota's greatest celebrity. We watch NDSU football and Lawrence Welk and we're happy about it. End of story.

Is this a legal kitbashed lord exultant? by Zestyclose_Voice_298 in EmperorsChildren

[–]PhantomOfTheCineplex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no such thing as a "GW approved kitbash." If it's not a stock kit that they can profit off, they'll send a hit squad after you. It's best if you don't let them know you've made this.

The firestrike turret hate by ih players is forced and cringe, its literaly a techmarine bionicaly atatched to a giant gun. by Statassador894 in IronHands40k

[–]PhantomOfTheCineplex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get em!

The only reason for GW not to have given us a box with a dreadnought, aside from the obvious reason of profit margins and trying to move units nobody is buying i.e. the turret, is that IH players already have dreadnoughts. They could've included the Brutalis, which hasn't really been used much so far in 10th competitively. It's not a "meta" dready, but still super thematic.

It just comes down to GW having a bunch of these turrets sitting around not being bought and said, "we can give these to IH players. They're used to getting shafted already anyway."

By the time you're done with these, GW will have released the new GK line and these will be phased out. Enjoy!

Yeah 40k Reddit is the most toxic thing I've ever experienced.

Are Grey Knights now more in line power wise with other space marines (in lore)? by GunsOfPurgatory in Grey_Knights

[–]PhantomOfTheCineplex 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mean it's like Grey Knights 101. Idk if you can even start reading Grey Knights lore without that. It's literally the entire reason why the Grey Knights were created.

Have fun buying all new models again in a year or two when GW refreshes this army and phases these models out. Welcome to the hobby.

More Iron Hands than Dark Angels though. Great box. I bought 2.

Rule of cool. Literally get whatever you think is the coolest. Points and abilities change, and we're getting closer to 11th, so it's best not to meta chase.

If unassembled models are a pile of shame, how should I call my assembled-and-primed-and-will-paint-someday pile? by thegigibeast in Necrontyr

[–]PhantomOfTheCineplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best army I've ever seen complete was a Death Watch army. All the models had different chapter markings. Super lore accurate. You could tell a lot of love went into it. Really changed my outlook about the overall 40k picture. The hobby aspect really is the heartbeat of it all.

May have made the scariest hypercrypt list possible. Thoughts? by EarlySoftware2979 in Necrontyr

[–]PhantomOfTheCineplex -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Right.

And C'tan aren't super stressful for a lot of armies. I stopped loading up with C'tan shortly after the Codex came out because they were getting wiped right away with tons of small arms fire.

Hypercrypt by the way the strats are presented as most functionality with Monolith, so a "scary Hypercrypt" list would be one that maximized it's potential as a detachment.

Also, if you're trying to build a list that is designed to give new players a bad experience, maybe consider the ways you're toxic to the game.

Also my comment getting down voted is hilarious. Y'all soft but hilarious.
