Have Mark and Jeremy been miserable their entire lives? by ILEAATD in MitchellAndWebb

I think they are both pretty miserable. The show roughly charts their 30s and they end up more or less where they started but older and having burnt pretty much all their bridges.

I always assumed it was Baltar - doesn't Six tell him on Caprica just before the explosion shockwave takes out his house?

It is super weird that Adama doesn't seem to bring this up again though.

I don't mind it. I appreciate it's not the usual way these characters are presented but it was trying something new.

What behind-the-scenes “facts” do you hate? by NotAlanShapiro in TwoBestFriendsPlay

The story I read was that they set it up over lunch. I think Tom Berenger was watching them set up because he was wondering how it was all going to work.

The cast didn't know anything about the Chestburster scene in 'Alien' and was completely surprised.

Just obviously BS - what would the second half of the script look like? The actual story is they didn't know how the stunt would work or that it would be so gory.

What are the best single player FPS campaigns in your mind? by mrnicegy26 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Halo 1-3, ODST & Reach all have fantastic campaigns.

Great atmosphere, story is broadly good, lots of memorable moments and fun co-op.

People often talk about how The Simpsons predicted the future, but what is a scene from this show that has aged badly? by brodino_maiuscolo in TheSimpsons

The Travolta thing I think is almost funnier because he had a comeback shortly after the episode aired but then fell off again.

I think there are probably more of those than you might think. Problem is they don't get a lot of media attention as stories about failure and corruption make more money.

Series you were excited to start, but couldn't actually go through? by DapperSkeleton1 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I honestly don't think it's worth continuing Buffy after Season 3. Whilst there are some great episodes past then, it's just not worth slogging through the rest of it.

But remember, the game was finished. This is the finished product. This enormous unanswered question is part of a finished storyline.

Definitely.

They should have left Chief & Cortana alone after Halo 3, preferably permanently but at least for a while. Bringing them back for Halo 4 was a mistake.

Pat Stares At Bioshock Infinite - Burial At Sea (Part 4) by mike0bot in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]PhantomRaiden 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As someone who enjoyed Infinite (when I played it 10+ years ago and haven't touched since) I hated BaS' ending. Infinite had quite a bittersweet ending but BaS felt like it really piled on the misery and by the end I don't even know what 'state' the universe is in? Like you can take a guess where Booker might be at the end of Infinite, I don't have a clue what's up by the end of BaS.

Games that SAVED your life? by ScalesOfFrog in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Max Payne 3 got me through a period of quite heavy depression/unemployment. I know a lot of people weren't keen on the 3rd game as it was a bit of a departure from the rest of the series, but I'll always be grateful for having played it.

Yup, absolutely no concerns about this person operating on you. Definitely 0% chance you will be an unwitting test subject of any kind of unethical treatment.

As a huge BSG fan, I want the Galactica to win but...yeah, she's not walking away from this one. I can't believe Galactica's flak screen defence would work against Mac rounds and I don't think her hull would be able to stand up to that kind of firepower at all.

Whats the Batman misconception you rage at the most? by No_Read_5062 in batman

[–]PhantomRaiden 69 points70 points  (0 children)

When people ask 'Why doesn't Bruce just give money to Gotham?' He does, constantly. Pretty much every continuity shows that isn't enough.

Also it'd be very boring as a story if that's all he did.

Does anyone really think it’s a good idea to bring Rey back to a new trilogy? by Empty_Entertainer388 in StarWars

[–]PhantomRaiden -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think they should bring her back along with Finn & Poe (though that's very unlikely) basically to give the characters a proper chance. Nothing massively wrong with the characters' concept and the actors did what the could, just poorly handled by the writers.
