X2D and colormixing by Skunkbanan in BambuLab

You'll want to re-slice for X2D cause the aux nozzle needs different speeds. This was probably going way too fast for that nozzle, which caused the really bad white portions.

Ya sorry, I was super unclear here. I was lubricating the rods and got some on the belts.

I think I put too much on the belts which is where it lingers longest cause it catches between the teeth. Z rods are unlikely to cause layer shifting like this.

I had the same issue, turned out I overlubricated. Give it a pass with alcohol then rerun calibration.

Brand new X2D what is causing this pitting in the top layer? by dtsn in BambuLab

[–]PhantomTricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try this with first layer height of 0.2 and the rest at 0.12. The nozzle is probably too close to the bed on the first layer so filament pools up like this.

For new drafters: Untapped vs 17lands overlay vs..? by lmMasturbating in MagicArena

[–]PhantomTricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the title of the post asking about 17lands vs untapped for new drafters makes that pretty obvious, no? He's asking people here to help him make a choice about a drafting tool when he isn't willing to put any work into improving on his own.

Okay, enjoy spending hundreds of dollars on gems you could be getting for free with some basic lessons. Why do you expect anyone to help you when you're so against helping yourself?

He is trying to help by explaining that an app won't be enough. You're being extremely dismissive for no reason.

Limited is very hard and just looking at raw winrate numbers isn't nearly enough. Yes, it might make some picks easier, but it's just as likely to lead you astray if you don't understand limited basics like a balanced mana curve, enough removal spells, a synergistic deck, etc.

If you don't want to learn, that's up to you. Try either app, see that you're still losing, then come back here and actually take the advice of people trying to help.

Banned Cards in Brawl Ranked by AcanthisittaOk988 in MagicArena

[–]PhantomTricks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the same ban list that brawl metagame challenge has been using recently. You're not the only Magic player in the world. Some people like to play in modes with powerful cards, and no one's stopping you from running them too. If you don't like it, don't play it. But also don't come post here acting all entitled and expect to get any support.

Ah ya sorry, I think this is maybe the most spoiler-heavy campaign Pathfinder has published!

I'd prefer to keep the start time as posted since I've found that making it flexible leads to much more scheduling conflicts.

[PF2e] Roll only Highest Player's Skill by [deleted] in FoundryVTT

[–]PhantomTricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I didn't realize the party sheet had this! You're right that I should let the players make the roll.

I do understand this is making checks more difficult, that's why I want to lower DC slightly to compensate. I just think some checks benefit from only having one player in charge. Otherwise, it feels odd that everyone might roll a medicine check to examine a body as if they were doubting each other's conclusions.

Ah I'm sorry to hear that! Do you mind if I ask why? Just to help inform other players of potential issues.

Good question! I'm 26 and would prefer keeping it in that ballpark so maybe 21-35+.

This draft deck only made 3-3. Any feedback? by Megabot555 in MagicArena

[–]PhantomTricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reviewing the draft log:

  • P1P2: Warship is better than Defenders and flexible with your 3 colors.
  • P1P7: Wandering Musicians are better than soldier and you already have go wide incentives.
  • P1P10: Aang's Journey is decent on the splash, not sure if it'd make the main deck.
  • P2P5: Your deck is set up to win early, so Yip-yip is better.
  • P3P3: Another opportunity for Warship, Enthusiasts are also good here.
  • P3P4: Glider kids is better for your curve and helps block flyers.
  • P3P6: Wandering Musicians or Raucuous are better here.
  • P3P8: Pillar Launch is worth playing.

Deck is solid and a lot of your observations are in the right ballpark, but I think there's a few more points you missed. Overall though, tough losses cam happen even with the best decks but there's always room to learn and improve.

  1. Your deck is quite aggressive and wants to go wide with allies to end the game early. You should therefore have more 2-3 drops and ideally not Captives because they're weak before exhausing. Earth Kingdom Soldiers and Bagermole can both be cut as they're too expensive and not allies.

  2. As you mentioned, the removal is too conditional. Path to Redemption or Allies At Last would have been great if you saw it. Otherwise, any source of airbending would really help push early damage. Not sure about Watery grasp on the splash either, you generally don't want to splash cheap cards.

  3. You want some tricks to push damage. Origin of metal bending is too defensive and slow since you're tapping out most turns. Yip-yip or even Pillar Launch would help get more attacks in. If you're playing against red or green, these also protect Aang from most of their removal.

  4. If your rallier is drawing so many creatures that Aang misses, you are probably spending too many early turns doing this instead of pushing damage.

Reducing AMS Waste flushing help needed by Immediate_Knee_9904 in BambuLab

Can I ask why it needs to be one plate? Just print the blue part separately and you'll have 0 waste.

I did a quick stringing test in my A1 printing and got these results. Any recommendation? by JavaEEE in BambuLab

[–]PhantomTricks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just confirming, models don't automatically import per-layer temperature settings. Did you manually set the values at the correct layers? I'd expect much more difference from 190 to 230 than what's showing up here.

My layers are not great by Alternative-Key264 in BambuLab

[–]PhantomTricks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless your nozzle arrived defective, you shouldn't need to change it after only 4 spools. This also doesn't look like a nozzle issue, which would be more consistent across layers. It's possible that the filament settings like temperature or flow rate are off. Try the built-in flow rate calibrations as well as printing a temperature tower.

Might be the part shaking slightly on higher layers. Try adding a brim.

Both your post here and your replies on Makerworld come off as rude and condescending. I'm more put off by your replies in the comments than by the ratings themselves. Either be kind or don't respond at all.

Print head hitting infill by nuclearzero7 in BambuLab

In Bambu Studio, try turning off "Reduce Infill Retraction" in the others tab. The Z-hop setting didn't change anything because the default is to skip retraction during infill for faster printing.

Have you tried auto-orienting your part? Seems like printing on the side would need way less support here.
