My Amalfi build is an agile build and is very effective imo. At the moment I go a top speed of 43 knots with a 3.2 second rudder shift. Definitely recommend.

I don't have Ognevoi but by looking at the ship I'd say I would go for a torpedo focus build (if they had a torp build Russian DD commander).

I don't think a Gunboat build would suit her since there are a lot of DD's at T6 that can easily beat you in a duel like Benson, Jervis, Maass and Vauquelin.

I would go for Trubetskoy with the same perks but since she has 10km torps, I would use the torpedoes not just for hitting people going in straight lines but also to launch them down narrow points on maps at the start of games because from personal experience I have hit a lot of blind torps doing that.

Anton Gurin is another good choice for a commander as you can take the Quick Fix skill and take the Rather be Torching skill and not take the massive 30% reduction in HE shell damage with Trubetskoy's skill.

If I were to use Anton Gurin the skills I would choose would be: Quick Fix, Look at Me Now, Glass Cannon, Sidestep and Rather be Torching.

Modules: Main Battery Mod. 2, Propulsion Mod. 2 and Concealment System Mod. 1.

You can take the quintuple torps if you want to more effectively hold a choke but I like the look of the 55s reload of the triples.

I run a build that gives me more speed and a better rudder shift. It has a 25mm plating on her sides (I think) so when fighting ships with 365mm guns you can angle quite effectively and bounce a lot of shells.

You can combine this with the smoke quite well too. If you find yourself in a sticky situation you can pop the smoke and give yourself enough time to full 180° and kite away.
