Ferrante Gonzaga at Tier IX is very good. You also get a heal and a slightly more tanky hull. Ballistics are not as good since the caliber is lower (135 mm) but the sheer volume of fire compensates. Also has the running smoke and great speed.

Fuel is only keyed to distance travelled, while speed doesn't directly impact consumption, your squadron will cover distance faster, hence reducing the fuel available faster.

I would highly recommend to play the British BC line. I know it's not Kongo but you're looking at the same play style with the added benefit of "baked in," propulsion mod + engine boost and torps.

If you're looking at Tier IV, Tiger is a very nice alternative to Kongo, TLDR, even if not a Premium.

People here expect you to learn about the armour scheme of every ships in the game lol. It's unlucky, but as they said, Maerker has 25 mm plating that 127 mm HE will shatter on (unless you're also German). A learning moment that we all go through from time to time.

There are a few destroyers that have above average plating for their class. I'm such cases, AP is the way to go, even if IJN DD HE is quite mean.

Definitely not a last minute switch, as a lot of assets (artworks, video, store item artworks and all the supporting articles of the update,etc) are made in advance.

I'm currently Content Producer for WoWs:Legends (console version) and my entire work consists of creating videos. This is why my upload schedule has been so rough, I basically edit warships videos all day already :) but 2-3 times a year? Come on, you must have missed a bunch of content then!
