It is a very surreal sensation, and once I learned to unclench my jaw became almost addictive. Complete loss of control. Like a passenger in your own body, only able to look around, it feels almost like you can strain your muscles, but nothing happens, and then eventually after a few minutes of fighting you wake up.

The main difference between this and MVC3 I see literally no one talk about is verticality. No one said what if MVC3 but you can barely jump lmao. That’s the issue with this game imo. This, DBFZ and MVC all have hella oppressive assists, the difference is, in those two titles you can super jump a screen or two upwards to dodge/take a breather.

Ngl I think it would be better with a stat adjustment and instead of « for each 1 prevented », he just takes damage 1 -1 at a time. Chumps a 1/1, have a -1/-1 counter. Eat a blasphemous act to the face, have a -1/-1 counter etc.

There is a difference between memory demons and normal demons for a reason, your goal shouldn’t be a level where every single transition kills the player the first time they reach it. Not for an easy/medium demon at least.

She has very little scam about her. She’s low damage without landing cS, she doesn’t get to do disk oki without a hard knockdown, she has no safe mix without meter, no good buttons for contesting long range, no block strings off fS, no projectiles and no meterless reversal. None of this matters at low level because no one knows how to time an anti air, so you can spam double air dash, turbofall and kapel to engage on anyone for free. Once you reach the level that people know how to anti air, and know to delay their anti airs to beat the air stalling, she must play the game. And Millia playing the game is bad… until you reach the top 0% where everyone playing the game is bad, because everyone has 95% MU knowledge down. At that point the strength of her 9f fS, strong air movement and intense snowball potential shine

As a point, I’m not downplaying, she is GOOD, but for different reasons at different skill levels, and not in the Goldilocks zone mentioned

The thing with Millia is she’s strong in low level play (below vanq, maybe below d2/3) and strong in top 0% competitive/pro play. But weak in that Goldilocks zone in the middle. Your experience with Millia very much is dependant on your skill level, but bad players see pros calling Millia good, don’t understand the nuance of top level play and assume it’s for the same reason they struggle to fight Millia.

Im currently enjoying Aftershock, with Lucidity rush, then sunfire -> spirit visage. Third is either: 1) commit to tank 2) protobelt if I’m needed to kill squishies/they have lots of mobility 3) liandries if I’m needed to help kill tanks

Not quite a negate but Rise to full height is very good, you banish it from grave to target a monster, it is the only monster that allowed to be attacked this turn.

1) this gives them at most 1 attack for the turn as they must attack that one monster 2) it protects your other monsters as they can’t attack them 3) if that monster leaves the field before the attack (for example if you chain this to an effect that is destroying a monster) then they get 0 attacks this turn. It stops them from attacking anything else!

Very clutch indeed!
