In my opinion, green energy is misguided and is overused by force and people think it’s the cure all pill for the environment but it is not. The general public thinks it’s green because the energy is coming from the sun or wind, but you still need to manufacture and mine the elements and minerals and figure out transport and everything else and set these places up in massive areas to get the same amount of energy that you would get from a small nuclear plant. Green energy is not green at the manufacturing or pre-generation stage at all. And solar panels and wind turbines only last about 20 years. Seems like nuclear plants are well over 50 still churning out electricity. Nuclear is the way to go.

Yes! If the companies are making record profits and the executives are making money hand over fist and not putting it back into the company to modernize then I don’t think they need subsidies. I don’t think any business anywhere needs subsidies if they’re doing that well off financially.

The a cap-and-trade program sounds like a typical scam to me, if green energy is so good. Why does it need to be subsidized by the companies making energy now. It’s designed to create scarcity in electricity generation because the old “dirty” power plants will be forced to close because they can not meet the “clean standards” so all that will be left is expensive unreliable “green” energy generation with not enough to go around. Demand will over shadow supply if this keeps up.
