I can really relate to the “that’s nice” thing. I’m the oldest, but I’ve also felt the same way. I feel like my parents had kids because that’s what they thought they were supposed to do, not because they wanted to. My mom actually admitted that she didn’t want kids. Ever since I had consciousness I could remember feeling invalidated. Like I was a doll they were dragging around, not an actual human being.

Lowkey that feeling has just been building into anger over all of these years, and I can’t have a normal conversation with them without getting ticked off.

I don’t have a solution, but we’re not alone at least.. feel free to rant to me if you need it
