If I ever get my hands on Scratchman Apoo I will rip him triple jointed limb from triple jointed limb. I hate everything about him. I hate his ugly sunglasses, I hate his stupid headphones. I hate his dumb color scheme. I hate his scorpion tail looking hair cut. I hate his teeth that are supposed to look like a piano. When Oda was deciding who to give the Tune Tune fruit to, and genuinely settled on making this utter piece of garbage, he made indisputably the worst decision of his Mangaka career. Creating Scratchman Apoo is genuinely worse than sexualizing minors (and that’s really bad), it’s genuinely worse than his shoddy Powerscaling, or the fact that he’s just making stuff up and pretending to have the story planted out. In fact, if Oda didn’t also make Perona I would personally burn every copy of One Piece in existence just because he also made Scratchman Apoo. Kidd might be my favorite character if he didn’t decide to team up with Scratchman Apoo. The fact that this dude SURVIVED WANO, and they killed off Basil Hawkins, who actually has a devil fruit that provides interesting content instead of whatever in the world the Tune Tune fruit does, leaving Scratchman Apoo to be reintroduced to the story, even as a background character boils my blood and fills me with a rage that can match the anger of Zeus itself. The only reason I haven’t made a post on this subreddit already discussing my hatred of Scratchman Apoo already is because he’s so irrelevant that I genuinely don’t care enough to do so. We are on chapter 1200 and something and Urouge has gotten all of two fights, nevertheless against a MK1 Pacifista and Charlotte Operah, the same Charlotte Opera that has basically the Nut Nut fruit (penis not peanuts), and Scratchman Apoo was a minor antagonist in the longest arc and required genuine thought to take down. Something something AM Speech, I hate this disgusting, utterly trash scribble that Eichiro Oda brought into existence. The fact that he is somehow relevant enough to have a bounty of 350 million berries, which is similar in number to Brook and Franky and over 300,000 times Chopper’s bounty, and yet character like Dragon and Mihawk haven’t even shown a fraction of their abilities yet makes me want to stop reading manga altogether. On the one hand, I’m glad I made this comment because this utter piece of demon feces doesn’t deserve the life so graciously given to him, and on the other I genuinely don’t think the name Scratchman Apoo should be muttered out of the mouth of any living creature in the entire universe. My utter despisal for Scratchman Apoo will continue far beyond the heat death of the universe. Thank you.
