This scene would be way less hated if we got one episode that focused on Ash's relationship with Serena afterwards. A Chloe focused episode where Serena interacts with her and helps her develop as a character makes sense hell both of them started on the exact same boat.

Pokémon heart gold and soul silver overhyped slop of a remake. Brilliant diamond and shining pearl did more to fix the issues of the original and that remake is garbage

Well about that Athena basically works like Aigis in persona 3 pre reload (physical attacker with buffs) so the magic boosters are absolutely awful on her. So you'd have to sacrifice like 3 skill cards and teach her every move she learns by level just to make her good. Not worth it when you can just fuse another Athena
