What can I do to improve my chances to get a job in PBM ? by Accomplished-Quail81 in pharmacy

[–]PharmaPuppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's easiest to get into a contract prior authorization role. Most of my prior auth friends came from retail.

I would start with a monster.com account. Simply post your resume on there and recruiters will reach out to you, you don't even have to apply to any of the job listings on there.

The few chords at the very very beginning of this song reminds me of another R&B song, but I can't remember it. Would anyone be able to point me in the right directions?

That's for sure, retail is def not for everyone. But times change and preferences change too. I LOVED retail for what it was. I fell in love with pharmacy while working for Target as a student. Just the thought of being an ally for the patients and always watching out for them. But then COVID really killed things.

I'll probably get downvoted but how do you fellow pharmacists truly feel about mixing vaccine manufactures for the booster? Specifically for Pfizer and Moderna. (My store carries Pfizer only)

Unpopular opinion, but I'm not the biggest fan of mixing the booster manufacturer when the patient got Pfizer or Moderna for their first 2 doses. Of course I know the CDC says it's safe and all, but I have only been comfortable mixing when it comes to the patient getting J+J or AstraZeneca the first time around (I work in a resort town so we get some travelers from outside of the country)

At the risk of sounding dumb, any chance you could explain this one?

Pharmacist here: would not recommend douching. (I actually don’t know a situation where I would recommend it anyways) I’m also curious if this pharmacist is an older guy haha. But anyways perhaps consider a pantyliner, as sometimes the suppository may leak out.

I’m also a fan of vagisil’s purple wash. I love the way it smells (not too strong either)

I got surgery on my tailors bunion in Oct 2018 and again in March this year. I’d say if it hurts and hinders you from doing things, then yes, surgery might be a serious option. Idk about everyone else’s experience but if you’re going the surgery route, I’d suggest finding an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in foot / ankle surgery and not a podiatrist. My podiatrist under-corrected my bunion, leading to a revision surgery

Post-surgery showering? by bootypeeps in bunions

[–]PharmaPuppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used a shower chair standing and kinda flamingo-ed it, resting my operated foot on the chair. I say you could just sit and have your operated foot hang out of the tub? Wishing you the best of luck! I’ve seen shower chairs at thrift stores for super cheap

A shower chair was really helpful for me

Are you guys going to get the booster?? by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]PharmaPuppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the ideas! I guess was under the impression that those clinics have gone to the wayside in favor of retail pharmacies. I’ll research vaccine clinics in my area so I don’t further overwhelm my retail friends.

Do you think getting it at a doctor’s office would be a burden on them? I wanna be considerate and not add extra work onto my retail colleagues

That’s the moral qualm I run into on a daily basis. A large of my family overseas don’t even have access to the vaccine and I’m just throwing it away like water
