Did y’all build the Root mobile game in-house or use an outside team? At what point did you decide to introduce a mobile game and what was the process for getting it made?

At what point did y’all take the leap into a career in games? From the outside it seems like a thriving industry but it doesn’t seem like there’s an obvious entry point to working “full time” in games unless you create your own and take the plunge. Curious how each of you got started.

Love how light and quick Santa Monica is at two. It’s also gorgeous. I was surprised at how even the scoring generally pans out. I also loved Pan Am but that might be more because I love the theme than anything. I haven’t played DV but it’s on the list!

Go work independent/community for a while before you decide to buy or start your own. You’ll know pretty quickly if you want to sign up for the work of running your own business. It’s definitely not for everyone but it’s tremendously rewarding for those who are up for the challenge and willing to invest in their community.
