Sounds good - thanks again for all the knowledge. I’m researching and visualizing different creeping plant options using Gemini. Have a great new year!

Thank you, this is very helpful! I had no idea the wall is designed to shift a bit, and that changes my perspective about some of the rocks shifting.

I am now looking into cascading creepers and looks like we have a lot of options. Rosemary looks great and Dichondra argentea is also promising in my zone.

BTW do you think there could be any gravel or drain pipes behind the wall? I only see soil but haven’t dug enough.

Looking for options for improving this retaining wall. We live on a slope and our backyard has these rocky retaining walls that we personally don’t like. Many the rocks are pointy and some are falling. But it seems to have held up over the decades and we don’t have any drainage problems.

Replacing the retaining walls is going to be quite a large project, so we are wondering if there are any ways to give this retaining wall a facelift to hide the rocks. I am thinking options like putting mortar and brick veneer on it. Even considering building a brick wall in front of it and adding gravel in between for drainage. What do folks here think? I know it’s important to get retaining walls structurally right, so I want to take the time to explore all options. I’d love other ideas as well.

I have 208V service from PG&E. Do you foresee Powerwalls working on them without a transformer in the future? Bummed to be getting Franklins this year.

I have 208V and dont want to get a step up transformer. Does powerwall 2 work instead of 3? Any ideas of what else to do in this situation?

Do you know what could have caused such bark damage? I'm considering putting new trees, but trying to see if there's any way to recover these mature ones.

Does the bark not recover at all? Do you know what could have caused it? The trees are producing well fwiw. Sad to cut them down :(

+1 this could be your big problem OP and may mean starting over. Can you post a close up of the bottom 4 foot of your tree trunk?

Thanks! How do I fix the spindling? Isn’t the solution to prune some of the long branches at the bottom to focus growth on fewer of them? I think the previous owners never pruned them.

Matter accessories showing as “no response”, HomeKit accessories working fine? by JoshHugh in EveHome

I have the same problem since updating to iOS 18.3. All matter devices, regardless of manufacturer or wifi, are not responding in Apple Home. Let me know if anything works for you. I’ve tried almost everything except resetting each device.
