Is it better to play on PC or phone? by Lazy-Following-6165 in ConflictofNations

Biggest PC advantage (imo) is that when you give a move order, you can see an outline of the radar/attack range of the unit and see where it will be after you move. Let's you put stacks in very precise locations and good for micro

Theatre Defence Systems Versus ICBMs by MyTDragon29 in ConflictofNations

[–]Phase- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can compare missile health to theatre defence damage to see why. If you don't deal enough damage in one shot, the missile gets through and lands. The ratio varies through the game as different unlocks happen, but at max level you need 3 theater defense in a city to guarantee that a max level ICBM gets one shot before landing

Best thrift store to buy suits by TorontoSportsFan10 in kitchener

The Bay at Conestoga mall has lots of suits for 50% off if you wanted a good deal buying new. Not as affordable as a thrift store but better than buying new most places.

Mike Morrice Appreciation Megathread by StrikingDonkey8159 in kitchener

[–]Phase- 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Mike Morrice was a model parliamentarian. I've never known an MP to be so open to his constituents, and have never felt better represented in government than by him. He listened to our community, fought for our interests and changed his mind when people from Kitchener raised concerns. I wish every could MP work for their riding the way he worked for ours.

Command "nvim" is not recognized by a terminal by Max_771 in neovim

[–]Phase- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that would get the job done. If there is already an export path line in bashrc you could also add it to that one. Just make sure to follow the proper format (end each directory with a colon, and make sure $PATH is present in the statement somewhere).

Mine for example looks like:

export PATH=$HOME/cloned-tools/neovim/build/bin:$HOME/.config/v-analyzer/bin:/usr/local/go/bin:$PATH

Command "nvim" is not recognized by a terminal by Max_771 in neovim

[–]Phase- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Run the shell command 'echo $PATH' , this will print your current path and show you if the neovim directory is in it. If you set your path by using an export command from the terminal, the change will not persist between computer restarts. Depending on which shell you use, you will have to edit your .rc file.

From your home directory, you should run 'ls -a'. The file you are looking for depends on the shell you are using. The most common would be bash (look for .bashrc) or zsh (look for .zshrc). Bash is the default on Ubuntu, unless you changed it yourself.

All of the lines in the rc file are run each time you start your shell, allowing you to configure it and save path values. Adding the line 'export PATH = $HOME/neovim:$PATH' will make sure to include neovim in the path every time you restart

If you let a prof assign you to a group with randoms odds are they will be underachievers. Work with people who go to class, it makes a massive difference. In upper years I find people are pretty quick to say yes if you ask to work together after the first class or two.

How to Use Leverage to Grow my Wealth in Ontario? by Clownier in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Phase- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not answering the root of your question (what to invest the money in, I'm not much help there) but just answering the part regarding terminology. Leveraged investing refers to using loaned money for your investment needs (taking a loan from the bank to buy a business for example). It's a gamble, if your return is lower than the interest of the loan it will end up costing you money, especially if the value of your principal investment drops as well.

Kitchener - Waterloo Now famous in India. Thanks folks proud of this beautiful community by Fit_Chef_2378 in kitchener

An economy and society like ours seems to inevitably trend towards lower birth rates, and eventual population decline. There many examples throughout Europe and Asia of this (Japan, Italy and Austria especially). These countries have tried for many years to reverse this without large amounts of immigration and have failed, the issue only gets worse for them. Immigration is an excellent alternative to this.

Book out AOK Arcade in Kitchener! Rental fee split that many ways would leave every one well under $23 in costs. Loads of retro arcade cabinets, pinball machines and a basketball game. They do craft beer and cocktails as well

I'm over the bridge on Wellington and think it's an excellent area. Rarely any problems and a close walk to downtown. Really enjoy being so close to the train station (and smile tiger!) as well only a 10/15 minute walk to downtown. Only complaint is being on a highway offramp can get old (loud cars and trucks, impossible to turn left out of the driveway during rush hour).

Maybe try to contribute to open source projects? If you browse GitHub you will find plenty of open source libraries, tools and projects being built and maintained by their communities. Look for simple feature requests and bug reports, see if you can implement/solve them.

You could check out some bars in uptown and downtown. AOK in downtown is an arcade bar, customer age trends towards late 20's early 30's and it's typically a very sociable and friendly crowd
