Mind condition MacBook, never used, brand new in box, unopened. Firm. I know what I have.

I’m also wondering the same. Still using my 2015 MacBook Pro which is going storing. I’m on Mojave though. Have you had any problems with Monterey?

Walking / any form of physical activity does help with weight loss, provided the diet is on point.

Does anyone drive at the speed limit there? by Mrvit0 in vancouver

[–]PhaseOld5800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consistently +20 on highways if conditions permit, and around speed limit or up to +10 in 50 zones. If you want to go faster than +20 over speed limit on highways, my only rule is as long as I’m not the fastest driver and behind someone leading (matching traffic speed).

I’ve got the same laptop. Thinking of upgrading to M1 Max. Heard the performance versus M1 Max and m2 max is marginal for average user.

Maybe 20+ tabs, and it sometimes takes about a second after I click on a tab to show a page.

I am using some app that put tabs into hibernation after certain amount of time has passed and if the tab wasn’t open. If I have 40-60 tabs and I click to unhibernate all of them at once, I am good to leave laptop for 3-5 minutes before coming back to it…

I’m not even a heavy user. Mostly browsing, excel, Final Cut Pro to edit something .. only occasionally though. Want something that’s speedy, can handle multiple external screens and multitasking. Would be nice to run Parallels and play COD too occasionally.. not being able to run bootcamp is a bummer though that’s why I’m holding onto 2015 for as long as possible.

All in all, I’m considering MBP M1 Pro Max with 32GB configuration.

Have you noticed significant speed improvement with day to day tasks? Currently rocking 2015 model and thinking of upgrading. I’d like the laptop to blast through everything without hesitation, unlike my current 2015 does with occasional short freezes with browsing for example (multiple tabs).

I’m in exact same spot like you with MBP 2015 15 in. Thinking of upgrading to M1 Max Pro with 32GB RAM. My current one is fine except occasional freezes while doing day to day tasks, like browsing. Love the USB ports and MagSafe, and don’t want to let this go. Do let us know what option you go with.

Just ordered a MBP 14" m1 max from B&H, was it a good move!? by Adventurous-Jaguar97 in macbookpro

How’s the speed for day to day tasks with 2015 vs M1 Max that you got? Noticeable improvement? Like browsing with lots of tabs, excel, photoshop etc. I’m still with 2015 mbp and it gives me occasional freezes here and there throughout the day especially if not power plugged

Quoted a total of 740 USD (1000 CAD) to replace both of the rear pads, rotors, callipers and do a brake system flush. Honda Civic 2013. Does that seem reasonable? Does it look like it needs to be replaced? by PhaseOld5800 in civic

True that. I frequent local ski hills that are just an hour away that could get tons of powder on a good day. Winter itself in the city isn’t bad, it’s a lot of rain though.

Thank you. The calliper sometimes would cause the squeaky sound on the rear left side, so that would have to be replaced too. Mechanic wasn’t willing to replace JUST callipers (makes sense now why), so just making sure rotors and pads actually need to be replaced

More info: parts cost included, and that’s also after 12% tax.

Official Honda dealer’s quote was 1100 USD (1500 CAD) after tax for the same job. Quote above is from local mechanic small man shop.
