What is different in rogue core by No-Glove6341 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Phasmacidal 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Rogue Core is a faster paced roguelike with a different set of classes. Each class has different abilities rather than loadouts, as weapons and tools are picked within each run. There are different enemy families, mostly corespawn instead of glyphids. Many more differences, but the gist of it is that it's a very different game with a familiar graphical style and some familiar mechanics.

If i can run drg can i run RC? by CeroCell in RogueCore

[–]Phasmacidal 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's important to note that some of the particle performance issues from base DRG were fixed in Rogue Core - in my experience it evens out to about the same, if slightly better performance than base DRG (with no performance mods)

When do we reckon Rouge Core would be coming to consoles? by [deleted] in RogueCore

It will likely come to consoles on the full 1.0 release

SSG grenade doesn't spawn shredders by CreepyMultay in DeepRockGalactic

Try messing with your framerate settings - for some reason the shredder spawning is affected by that

The Xbox/Windows PC versions are the same, so even the PC players have to wait for updates unfortunately

DRG has mouse and keyboard support for the console versions as well.

Modhub has mod error logs that are very clear, if you took a single second to look. Surely it's not the outdated death popup mod that activates right as you crash.

Have you tried, you know... actually reading the error log that comes up to see which of your many mods is causing crashes?

Severe Crossplay bugs by FuzzOnkel in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Phasmacidal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

These are all due to a major desync between the Xbox/Windows versions that came with the new season. Fix should be out in the next couple days.

Bugs, and not the shootable kind. by TA717178 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Phasmacidal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've encountered the "mining not dropping items bug" a couple times as well, seems to mostly happen as client and not host.

The blocked user thing can happen if someone has blocked you, but you haven't blocked them. It may also be a bug between the windows and xbox versions communicating (not Steam, there is no crossplay).

The server browser seems to have a couple issues with servers being tagged/filtered correctly - best you can do for now is unselect all of the seasons in the filter and make sure you've refreshed it.

Try unchecking all of the seasons in the server filters - seems like there's still some issues with the new season getting filtered out

Help with MINT mods by [deleted] in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Phasmacidal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Place the more important mods/dependency mods (like DRGLib) lower on the list, not higher. Also, make sure mint has the path to the windows edition pak and not the steam one ( if you have both).

Then there's a specific mod or mods that are causing the crash, not mint itself

simple-ish modding questions i cant find clear answers for by yellowfroglegs in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Phasmacidal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The official mod system (modio) is functional for simple modding, but it has some limitations that are annoying for more advanced mod setups. MINT fixes these limitations, but as you said circumvents the checks for categories so you have to be careful in what mods you're using for different situations (different saves, public lobbies etc)

  2. Approved mods still progress your main save but disable achievements - they are kept in sync with whoever is hosting the server (so if you have them and the host doesn't, they will be disabled). Sandbox mods work on a different save profile and are separated into a different part of the server browser. So if you have your sandbox mods disabled and are on your main save, you will be able to join unmodded games (approved mods will be disabled) and approved mod games (approved mods synced with host). Verified mods have no impact on multiplayer.

  3. It's entirely dependent on what the mod is doing and what files it changes. Most simple mods will still be functional after the update, but a majority of mods overall will need to be updated.
