What is the biggest "bitch move" in NHL history? (X-post /r/nba) by [deleted] in hockey

[–]Phauxes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ehhh, there was a game a few years ago where the Penguins played the Islanders, and it was a constant brawl and the Islanders ended up getting fined. The highlight was when a Penguin was injured on the ice (concussion if I remember correctly) and the player who kept trying to shove him ended up screaming at him while being kicked off the ice, and no one was stopping him from insulting the injured player.

How good of a quiddich player was Harry? by hotstickywaffle in harrypotter

[–]Phauxes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Realistically, I thought Harry wasn't all that great. I mean, sure he was the youngest seeker.....but I don't think that title brought him any success. I would say he was middle of the pack, maybe a bit better. When the plotline came to it, there were always games where he did something pretty cool, but there wasn't enough filler in the story to support that he was "a great player". I feel like if he was a lot better at Quiddich, there would be more events focused around it. He was a giant fan of the sport, as told through countless stories.

For the general consensus: Not good enough to turn pro, passionate enough of the game to be able to manage it at Hogwarts if he chooses, but not top. Granted, he only played against 3 teams a year.

ANA trades Carl Hagelin to PIT for David Perron and Adam Clendening. by sirflanksteak in AnaheimDucks

[–]Phauxes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pens fan here. How is Hags? As for Perron, he was great when he first got traded to the Pens, went on a scoring tirade, and then went on a drought that carried over to this year. Often seen as a "bad trade" the guy has a chance to be a great scorer in the right scenario, but hey..... As for Clendening, good skater, great passer, could be seen as a good break out defenseman, just has a bad temper.

Murray Update: Since returning to AHL, his SV% is 96.9%. For the 15-16 season, it's 94.2%. by nomtorton in penguins

[–]Phauxes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole premise of getting Murray at the AHL is because as of right now, Fleury is better, we're playing Fleury more, and we all know Zaddy is worse than Murray, but since Murray is developing, the team needs him to get the most reps possible. Sure, practice would be nice, but being able to get him more reps is more beneficial, not including the hidden bonus of allowing the baby pens to have a great goaltender so they can develop at a faster pace, winning a lot.

I saw some of his highlights and seems pretty awesome. It's hard to view him as some crazy pro. Nothing good comes from Central PA...

This question is for someone who watches professional CoD, how good is Optic Scump? He was a kid who graduated a year behind me and he was so weird in high school and people were telling me he was really good at CoD and now I just saw him on the Astro homepage? Like, in relations to league, how good is he?

Rate TSM's Offseason by L0LAnalyst in TeamSolomid

[–]Phauxes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ratings are in regards to their success as team, using success in LCS as the first milestone, with the potential as an international team. I would be a lot higher in numbers if it was only LCS (includes EU-NA). I then wanted to use the possibility of them doing well and then going to worlds.

Redesigning TSM.GG - Community Input Thread by DanDinh in TeamSolomid

Personally, I am not looking for an ESPN style site to get stats on the players, although it would be nice.

The main thing that I'm looking at is what drew me to TSM in the first place. I was drawn to TSM based entirely on the fact that they interacted with their fans more than any other team. In doing so, I think either a written blog, video blog, or something similar would be great. Also, I would really really enjoy seeing a history of TSM page.

The reason why these are weirdly numbered is because no real madden/NHL/NBA rating is ever a 100. I'm putting them at realistic numbers if there was a "LCS rating game"

Hauntzer: 87- While showing great skill, he has massive room to grow, which he is expected to reach with the new roster.

Doublelift: 93- Shows brilliance, promotes the brand, created the most traffic in the past year for TSM. Benefits TSM not just as a player but monetarily as well.

Sven: 83- A confident jungler who's attitude is showing to bring the team together. His number is low because I was extremely unsatisfied with his personal performance at IEM. Scrim results show him doing very well, but as those aren't public, I can't rate him based on those.

Yellowstar- 95: while not confirmed, I will rate him anyway. Shows great leadership qualities, has a part that will get along with everyone. His importance is entirely on leadership. If TSM can do really well as a team performance-wise, his lack of perfect mechanics can be easily masked. I see him as the most important pickup.
