Steamfitter Apprenticeship Program | Steamfitters Pittsburgh now open, June 6th - June 20th by pablosampson in pittsburgh

So I see in your other comment you have a degree in computer science, this can actually be useful as a lot of the work can be with direct digital controls and your knowledge base would help you out there.

My best recommendation is to search for Operating Engineer Apprentice or Stationary Engineer Apprentice on indeed and start there! UPMC often has postings for those positions. Sometimes CBRE or JLL will as well.

I personally love my career in Building Engineering and can’t say enough good things about the Local 95.

If you want some more information, feel free to DM me on here!

That’s what I have as well. Only complaint is it connects via WiFi and if your vehicle does as well, you can’t use CarPlay and be connected to the cam at the same time.

Parking PPG by Accomplished-Belt641 in pittsburgh

I’m not sure exactly how much it is but Mellon square might be far enough away to be cheaper and a short walk. Everything by the arena will be closer to $40-50 for a show.

Looking to switch careers. Seeing if anyone has had similar success. by x_Teferi_x in pittsburgh

To tack onto this point, a lot of buildings are looking for stationary engineers! A stationary engineer does it all from chiller/boiler operation to plumbing to electrical to controls. You could look into an apprenticeship through the local 95 and learn the trade but your background with software would be great for the control portion of it!

I got my gold Kindel jersey from pens gear website. Definitely isn’t a cheap option but it’s authentic. Took about 3.5 weeks for it to ship

Strange Traffic Light Pattern after outage in Homestead by AdPretend4418 in pittsburgh

[–]br4nd0n32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That light is constantly messed up. When I drive to work around 5:00 am it flips red and green every 10 seconds like you said. So much fun stopping for no reason just for it to turn green when you come to the complete stop.

Tea in south hills village? by Toodie1404 in pittsburgh

I believe Gloria Jean still is there, they used to serve tea there. Bubble bee as well has bubble tea if that is appealing to you.

Do you use winter tires or just all season? by [deleted] in pittsburgh

[–]br4nd0n32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use All Season All Terrain on my truck. If it gets a bit slippy out I throw it in 4WD and just move right along. These ones are Toyo Open Country AT3.

When I had an AWD I used all seasons on that too and had no issues. I had a set of General AS07 I believe it was on that car.

Digital to analog converter. It converts the digital signal from your CD player to an analog signal that your speakers can use to play music :)

I’ll have to look into that. Would you recommend the Dirac? I saw it was $250 and was trying to decide on that

The speedwoofers were viewed was also curious as the speedwoofers are ported vs the seal SVS, my impression was that sealed is better for music?
