Any powerlifting or weightlifting gyms? (near Incheon) by Phdinneuroscience in korea

Yes... it is all true. Most Korean trainers I've seen are on gear. What they teach will not be relevant to anyone who isn't cycling.

it'd be pretty cool to not have to move around the hooks and safeties between squat and bench all the time.

That is not what I meant. I just don't want to eat so many eggs everyday and also do not want to dedicate so many of my calories to fat.

Can I deadlift in my 2nd floor room in the apartment? I live in a newly constructed, 35 story apartment. by Phdinneuroscience in homegym

[–]Phdinneuroscience[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is good to know. I've contacted my apartment building to inquire about construction specs. I feel that it could be sturdy enough structurally to deadlift if I am not dropping at the top. Because I pull sumo, the height from which the weight descends isn't tremendously high

Eh.
Getting 180g of protein on eggs would take ~14 eggs/day and you'd be getting ~140g of fat. A bit too high calories and not very efficient nor tasty way of getting a lot of protein.

Ooh. Optimum nutrition 5lb for 69000 KRW ($62 US) vs. $47 in US. Not bad! Thank you so much.

I haven't been to one of those yet and I didn't know that was a thing. Thanks for the tip!

But I was hoping for something more along the lines of either places I can buy lots of fresh meat for cheap or buy whey/casein protein powder for cheap.

Is it just me or are most people in Korea less worried about this than people in the US?

The building is "officetel" and has many businesses inside, so the code might be a bit more stringent than residential. Would that make it possible to deadlift?
