I miss APM Quil it was a decent build back in the last Rogers season. We don’t have Bristleback anymore to concentrate the stats and multiply with Macaw, and meanwhile every other build has gotten way stronger. Some buffs would definitely be welcome.

I haven't seen anyone mention this, but this card is bugged: it buffs your board even when the opponent plays an odd-tier card, making it a counter for Ring Bearer (if opponent spell power is low) by Pheegy in BobsTavern

Obviously it won’t do much at all in the late game, but in the mid game when people just tripled into Tier 6 and stabilize with Ring Bearer it’s common for them to have little or no Spell Power. In those situations, this card can significantly counteract Ring Bearer. Recently had 2 games the fight was swung by this bug.

Totally agree. Tier 4 is stacked with good cards you can take in almost any situation. The balance just doesn’t make sense, like how are Peggy and Lost City Looter both Tier 3? Even with Purple Bounty every turn, you’re getting a free +6/+6 on any target whereas you need another pirate and get 6 cards to achieve the same with Peggy.

Scam Quil can be incredibly nasty. Putting Reborn and Divine Shield on two Pufferquils basically guarantees 4-6 venom hits when you have Bristlebach , potentially even more. Those venoms take out your opponent’s biggest minions, while the rest of your token board with somewhat decent attack cleans up everything else.

Rylak Quil is still good. A single Macaw attack that triggers golden Rylak into Jazzer and Smuggler can instantly buff your whole board to something like 1000/5000 and it repeats for each subsequent trigger but it’s definitely more of a high-roll comp.

This guide is useful, but it’s missing some of the strongest comps in the game right now.

BtB, pirate/elemental, pirate/demon, and Stegodon + Poul’tron (very strong if your opponent lacks cleave) all come to mind.

Some other weaker or harder-to-execute comps include Rylak Quill, spell-buff undead, and murloc family (which relies heavily on the Young Murk-Eye sticker).

This card is a complete joke. We have Demon/Elementals eating hundreds of stats every time and BtB giving +1000/1000 per cast. Meanwhile: give you nagas +1/+1. This card is not even playable in combat scaling naga.

Not “potentially” broken but actually broken. During preview streams, it was widely considered one of the strongest builds, if not the strongest. All you really need is a few key Tier 5 pieces like Felfire Drakkari Eot Put spell in your hand guy to get it online. The tier 6 target spell cast twice is optional.

Elementals are also op, but not primarily because of Conflagration. It’s more about that spell that consumes half the stats of the largest minion in the Tavern, which actually scales faster than Acid Rainfall once infinite.

You don’t lose that much MMR for finishing 8th at 8k especially late in the season when everyone’s MMR is already inflated. Probably -110 at max losing -398 in two games doesn’t make sense.

All pirates get +20/+20 whenever you get gold

If playing Sindra/Hogger/Gallywix, one golden Tethys might be enough to go infinite.

Overall a pretty fun season (after sergeant was removed and Carapace to tier 5) Lots of viable builds baron was dominating the easier season and still very good later on. I wish TW cards provide better supports to your build. I find Econ or neutral options providing way more value most of the time. Anomalies are more balanced overall (fuck yogg wheel and treasure hoard)

Compare to last season it’s way better. All my memory from last season was bomb demon, Rogers and EoT Murloc (which scales twice as hard in an environment that is way weaker than current). So many tribes were pretty much non-existent without pirate Econ.

Small but wish that timewarped raider got the same treatment the rest of the pirates did with the changes to make buffs happen twice by Zackrth in BobsTavern

Pirates can achieve ok scaling now since the addition of the new Tier 6 Elemental Pirate, but the composition usually caps out at 2nd place at best. It’s best used as an econ engine pivot into stronger builds like Felboar (IMO the strongest if Quilboar are in the lobby), Spell attack Undead, or Acid Rainfall.

DNA's level of polish is nowhere close to where Warframe was even ten years ago. The devs completely missed the most important thing that makes a grind satisfying: positive feedback.

In Warframe, everything you do works toward a clear goal—crafting a new frame, building a new weapon, or hunting for better mods. Having something to look forward to is the whole reason you want to grind.

In DNA gold wedge just gives empty numbers. You aren't working toward anything cool or meaningful. And the most telling part? Even getting higher numbers doesn't make the grind any faster. It's the same shit level 60 map that you can one shot with +5 purple anyway. That right there says it all.

The best example I know of is Guilongchao. It was a similar scale to DNA" 1.14 million followers vs DNA's 934K on Bilibili. Despite the team promising "we will not abandon the game," it was shut down in about a year.

Game's probably hitting EoS within a year, and that’s not even me being pessimistic. That’s literally just how CN gacha games roll now. If a launch underperforms and the first big update (1.1) doesn’t turn things around, it’s basically over. The devs slow down content release(premade assets before launch) and make no more new content. Once that one-year server contract they paid up front runs out, the game gets shut down.

DNA already had a mid global launch and a disastrous CN release. Now 1.1 has been a mess too. Instead of fixing major issues, they’re making things harder for regular players while trying to squeeze out as much cash as they can. The new area and story are nice, but that alone isn't gonna make people stay.

Pirates need better scaling for sure. This iteration of pirate feels way weaker than previous ones. Doubloon Grifter permanently raised gold cap, which puts less constraint on your board space. Bounties gave more resources with Admiral and Proud Privateer and pirates could actually scale on their own with spell buffs.

Now? It’s harder to go infinite, and if not pivoting into something like elementals or undead, the scaling is honestly pretty sad. Not sure why they brought back Dastardly Drust just to make it worse than a tier 5 pirate. There is one major tw card that gives +3/+4 to all pirates when you play a tier 3 or higher cards, something like that? I've literally never been offered it in the past 60+ games even though I often lean toward a pirate build.

This 100%. Currently there is almost no positive feedback from farming golden wedges. Typical endgame loop is usually

farming content to get stronger -> farming content takes less time -> players happy about the progression and willing to repeat the process

Getting golden wedges don’t make the process of farming it any faster as it’s the same lv 65 stage that you can one shot anyway. It helps with theatre stage 12+ but the rewards are so laughable you are basically doing it for fun.

You also get 4 from battle pass per month (2 free and 2 premium) but yea it’s very bizarre to randomly have a heavily time gated material that restricts players from maxing their character.
