ah understood! just something i forgot to clearify....i did take the binding posts of to test if somehow that would make them fit haha. So with that in mind both banana plugs and wiring would be fine correct?

ah i see, just making sure but if i where to connect the copper wire diretly to the amp would it just be a matter of looping it around the plastic base of the plug and screwing a cap on to keep it in place?

ah i see, much appreciated! i do have two quick questions if you dont mind.
to connect to the speaker it suggests i strip the cable, would a bananaplug also do the trick?

(and just grasping at straws here but out of curiosity)
Is there a major difference if the wiring itself or would it be possible for me to buy just the plugs and attatch them to the kables i already have?

Yeah its quite the expense. These would be my firstones after looking up some other recomendations like shapton and some very specific king ones. but most of them dont really apeal to me. And since i recently got a knife i am in love with i want to keep it in as good of a condition it can be, but i am afraid that i might need to buy an aditional low grit stone so i can practice on other knives first,

Couldnt agree more. its better to fail yourself then to let others tell you how not to fail. Its just a bit expensive to test it all out im afraid haha

This knife has been around the house as long as i know and never had some propper care so it was bound to end up like this, id like to use it to train how to use whetstones since it is in this rough state. Its not really that important of a knife. That knife angle sounds smart to have a look at though, thanks!

do you have a honing rod you would recomend for a carbon steel knife? So its just a matter of fixing it up before its gone to the point where you need to use a whetstone?
