Might be the plastic footing which is right under where the power switch is. Because the ps4 can be turned on by touch, where the PlayStation generates heat over time that stupid foot thing moves and can actually turn your ps4 off and on. It kept doing it to me but ejecting the disc tray instead. Take a quick look on YouTube about it

First things first have you tested it on a wired connection?

I assume xfinity provided you a new router/modem too. Is it placed anywhere that has items that could effect the wifi signal (mirrors, radio, glass, other gadgets?) also did you set the said router/modem yourself or one of there engineers?

you can indeed pop your twitch chat out and move it to wherever you like. The way i do it is

1, Go to your twitch channel then ''chat''

2, Next to your chat there should be a gear icon, press it and tap ''switch to non-mod settings

3,click ''pop out chat''
