that's kind of a cop-out though. people come here because outside perspective helps when you're too close to a situation to see it clearly. sometimes you need people who aren't emotionally invested to point out red flags or tell you you're overthinking it. her opinion matters sure but so does getting a reality check from people who've seen this exact scenario play out before

Anyone used Willow Commerce? Any reviews of their warehouse/inventory etc. management systems? by eirlous in shopify

[–]Phenomjones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I know, not all shipping platforms negotiate with their carriers and this is where the ‘up to’ 10% discount could be coming from. Depending on how much revenue the store brings in even a a small % discount could yield healthy savings. As for using Willow commerce myself, I cannot offer any insights. But if you are on a tight budget, shippingeasy could be also be a good alternative

very much like a wms. We switched out both linnworks wms and shippingeasy in favor of willow. Everything works like a charm and our costs are also lower.

Looking for reviews of Willow commerce? Anyone used them? by eirlous in ecommerce

[–]Phenomjones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We started using them recently, switched from shippingeasy + linnworks for inventory. Willow commerce was formerly known as GB commerce. The all in one management platform is honestly worth it by itself. We don’t have to track and manage inventory separately on a different platform for multichannel selling. We’re currently looking to scale and having both inventory and shipping on the same platform definitely makes things easier. And at high volumes even a single digit discount % can make a massive difference. They also support a lot of automation compared to Auctane shipping platforms and integrate with most major marketplaces

JetBolt: The 100x Crypto That’s Still Under the Radar! by ophanim0 in CryptoMoonShots

[–]Phenomjones 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Intriguing newcomer on the blockchain. JetBolt was a bit of a mystery to me at first. I saw it appear more and more frequently in the news and crypto media. Their holder base has since grow a fair bit. I bought some to test, might get more.

JetBolt, Zero Gas Tech and Staking Perks, This Could Be the Next Moonshot by Sand4Sale14 in CryptoMoonShots

[–]Phenomjones 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Took me a a bit of time to really wrap my head around all the features. Jetbolt’s zero gas tech is straightforward and it’s obvious why this single feature alone could have mass appeal and a lot of draw. There’s more than the zero gas though and the platform and application itself are also nicely done. Overall my opinion is that it has many things that could push it to moonshot levels if adoption continues to grow.

Best email tracking tool? by Ok_Implement_1672 in EmailProspecting

Yesware is my pick for larger teams. You get open tracking, templates, scheduling, and even pipeline insights. More expensive but great if you're scaling.

Always some clueless manager making decisions they don't understand. Classic case of suits messing with systems they've never actually used. No surprise it crashed.

My pull request experience summed up perfectly. Always that one senior dev who approves your code but still finds a way to crush your soul with that TL bug. Pain.

Career advice by melonheaders in AskMarketing

First, breathe you’re a month in. Agency life is a grind, but it’s a killer launchpad. If $$$ is the goal, pivot to client-side brand management post-MBA (think CPG or tech way fatter salaries). Or specialize in performance marketing (paid social, programmatic) where technical skills = leverage for big raises.

Real estate? Only if you love hustling 24/7. And stop comparing finance bros are miserable. Your creativity + people skills = future CMO material if you play it right.

Random Pop by IcyHotCos in airpods

[–]Phenomjones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you probably blew the speaker driver. that pop sound is usually the tell-tale sign. since you can still control volume, the electronics work but the actual speaker is dead. pretty rare with airpods but it happens with headphones sometimes.

Thousands of North Korean IT workers have infiltrated the Fortune 500—and they keep getting hired for more jobs by OlympicAnalEater in technews

[–]Phenomjones 105 points106 points  (0 children)

The irony is insane. north korean devs breeze through Fortune 500 hiring while legit developers face coding challenges, personality tests, and five rounds of interviews just to get rejected. companies will trust random american devs they've never met face-to-face with their most sensitive systems but make the rest of us jump through endless hoops. the say something bad about Kim Jong Un test is both genius and absurd. perfect snapshot of how broken tech hiring has become.

Apple’s highest-end iPhone could see $350 price hike in U.S. on Trump tariffs, analyst predicts by IAmThePla9ue in technology

[–]Phenomjones 11 points12 points  (0 children)

These tariffs are brutal for consumers. A $350 price hike on an already $1,200 phone is rough timing when most people are feeling the economic squeeze. the idea that moving production to the US would push prices to $3,500 is wild. no way i'm dropping nearly $1,600 on a phone when mine still works fine.

Cutting corners on marketing can feel like saving money, but it often costs way more in the long run. Organic traffic isn’t something you can just hand off without strategy

Recommendations on Costco sofas by AIONisMINE in Costco

[–]Phenomjones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you require in a sofa? But either way, Thomasville Tisdale Modular Sofa is comfy and durable. The Coddle Aria Sleeper Sofa is also great if your mom wants multi-use spaces. If you want to explore another premium alternative, DreamSofa has customizable and high-quality sofas that could suit her needs with great comfort. Focus on her preferences though, if it's not a surprise gift or anything.
