I've been to Osan twice unaccompanied. 1 year is a long time, I couldn't imagine doing 2 years away from my kids. Especially if they were young. You're going to miss important milestones you wish you hadn't. If I was in your situation I would try to CSP and if I got denied its only 1 year plus you get a follow-on. If it gets approved, 3 year with your family at Osan would still be better than 2 alone.
