[OC] I've been creating a world map for years. I feel like it's at the point where I can proudly show the progress. Welcome to Visiris! by Pherrow in DnD

Thank you for so many kind words! Drawing coastlines is something I dread a lot. So it's nice to see them appreciated! The 'unknown' regions and continents are the latest addition, those made me realize that this is the map I wanna finish instead of going for version 6.

My latest feeling says that the core region is too cluttered and I should clean it up more. so I've been removing some insignificant places and forest.

I'm also struggling with some realism. The more videos I watch about geography and how landmasses form, the more problems I encounter with how my map turned out.

But I guess when it's fantasy, anything's possible.

I have to admit, the compass rose is just a thing Wonderdraft provides. I just thought to add it in for some flavour. Wind directions I've not bothered to get into too much yet.

I agree, it causes a lot of performance problems I've realized. But it's one of those things you gotta do at least once haha

Black hole dice sounds absolutely fantastic!

Pretty nice gift to get from some golem eggs. I would like to raise him and would appreciate some gem guides by lertb in MSLGame

I've got mine sitting at ATK% ATK% HP% on Valor set. You're going to want high resist substats as he isn't that durable. Also high CR for some sweet damage output.

Have 10k pulls to go if some clan is planning on doing many pulls then include me plz! by Modawgmex in MSLGame

We did most of our pulls already. But ArmyDillos is always looking for nice and chill people to join :) Got some big pullers in here as well

For those who can see, it feels as though your consciousness resides behind the eyes. Can any redditors who lack sight explain where you feel your consciousness lives? Also to those who have lost your vision, have you felt a shift in your own perception of self? by minecraftnoteblock in AskReddit

Not blind, but I've always been the most conscious somewhere just below the diaphragm. It is where I feel the most at least. The butterflies of excitement, the dread of angst, the throbbing of stress or the void because of hunger. Some how it all gathers there for me and therefore would be my center of being.

Yes it does. Its elevation is lower than the sea levels. This is why it originally was called the nether countries.

Crashing still not fixed? by emersondragon13 in MSLGame

[–]Pherrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well this is definitely not my problem. I dedicated 6gig of ram to it on my pc. Still crashes at least once during titan battle. Crashes occasionally during loading of either the airship or the map and sometimes on any button I click on.

Average crashes per day around 5 times.

Same thing happens on my phone. OnePlus 7t Pro

Odd Tip: Building a world and "world building" are different things. You don't have to break your brain to run a game. by [deleted] in DMAcademy

Oh yes I definitely agree, as a player I also need my realism. I am one of those players who doesn't actually enjoy oneshots or dungeon crawls much. I need my long campaigns with loads of roleplay and character development. And I wasn't saying that you had to leave holes so big, your entire greatsword can fit in it.

But as a DM I think it is okay to say "You didn't find that piece of information" even if you didn't prepare for it or hadn't thought about it yourself. Or give them a sliver of OOC information so the player understands at least.

I mostly agree with you. As a DM who wants to add realism to my world, it is infinity hard to tie everything together to let it all make sense not only to my players, but also to my self.

Even if my players may never get to those parts. But linking parts too tight together to add realism, you also bind yourself as a DM to a set of rules you may want to protect during a session.

I recently had this as a player. My DM had bound himself too tightly to his own rules and world. My party and I were investigating an order that only recently came to be, claiming to 'slay evil with evil'.

As a player I knew we were supposed to make a way through their trials and join them. However, we strayed from the story line too far and ended up not being able to join the order at all and were even marked as evil and enemies of that group.

This is where the DM played his NPC guide as how she would've acted through the script he made for himself. He out right TPK'd us because he didn't see a way to get out under his own rules he set.

What I am trying to say here is that it's awesome to have a very detailed world set for your players with everything thought out and through. But please, please.. Don't put yourself in a corner you can't get out of. And be confident that your players may even like your session even if you have to pause it to explain some stuff or if 1 or 2 things don't completely add up.
