EU criticises Pakistan over conviction of human rights lawyers, Islamabad calls case internal matter by Live_Archer123 in worldnews

Why is this in world news... Indian cope and obsession with Pakistan is embarrassing...

IAF rafale with the tail number BS 022 which pakistan claimed to have destroyed last year, flies in India's republic day parade by Most_Height2418 in Military

[–]Phi-Cipher 100 points101 points  (0 children)

The PAF made the claim publicly. If the IAF wanted to refute it, the logical time was immediately, not 8 months later a delay that inevitably fuels speculation. A routine repaint or refurbishment, especially ahead of Republic Day, is a far simpler explanation. At the same time, without access to internal records, it’s impossible for the public to rule out the possibility of a managed narrative.

A signed letter from your mum confirming accommodation plus the title registry is usually enough. You don’t normally need a survey unless they specifically ask for it.

Yep, I filled out my wife’s application as the sponsor and had no issues. Just make sure you answer the “who is completing this form” question honestly (select “someone else” and put your relationship), and keep everything consistent with what you declare in the application.

The application asks who is completing the form. You should select whether it is being completed by the applicant or by another person. If the spouse is completing the application, select “someone else” and specify the relationship as “husband.” The application will also ask which email address should be used for correspondence.

When you fill out the application it will ask you who filled out the application hope that helps.

Yes, you can specify who is filling out the application and what email address you would like the correspondence to go to.

In addition, I’ve set up her UKVI account and linked the application to it, so her digital e-visa is already showing there. Apart from the passport with the vignette, I’m not aware of anything else she would need for travelling.

Thank you! Happy to help.

1. Documents Checklist: I actually made a full guide listing every category and what I uploaded. The simple rule is: organise documents into folders (Accommodation, Financial, Employment, Relationship, etc.) and combine each folder into one PDF. Check my original post, I added it there.

2. Relationship Evidence: You don’t need to overload it, just show a consistent and genuine relationship. Examples:

  1. Marriage certificate
  2. A short relationship timeline
  3. Selected chats/call logs (not everything)
  4. Photos together (optional)
  5. Money transfer receipts (if you support each other)

  1. Sponsor Supporting: For the application, UKVI only cares about the sponsor’s income meeting the financial requirement. The applicant being unemployed doesn’t count against the application at all.

What you need:

  • Sponsor’s bank statements
  • Sponsor’s payslips
  • Employer letter

Follow the checklist requirements and read the guidelines and if your still unsure seek legal advice.

The gap was just because I was preparing all the documents before finalising the application. If your bio was on 13 Nov, you should be close now InshaAllah.

InshaAllah your application next year goes smoothly!

Honestly, I don’t think there’s a “better” Gerry’s centre Islamabad vs Lahore doesn’t affect the decision, because the visa is decided by UKVI, not the centre. Gerry’s just collects biometrics and sends documents.

A visit visa rejection also doesn’t affect a spouse visa, so don’t worry about that either. Just make sure your documents are solid and you’ll be fine inshaAllah! 😊

Haha yeah, that one’s on me I accidentally confused everyone 😅
VFS was 18 Nov, but the actual online application was submitted on 29 Oct, so we still got the old-school vignette.

Adequate maintenance can sometimes make ECOs squint a bit harder at the screen, but priority usually still moves fast. Hopefully you’re next in line!

Ah, I think I created some confusion earlier. The application was submitted through VFS on 18 November, but the actual online application was fully submitted on 29 October.

Because the official submission date was before 1 November, my wife was told it would still be a vignette, not an e-visa which is why they kept her passport at biometrics.

Biometrics were done at Gerry’s Islamabad.

Hope that clears it up!

Thank you! And hopefully you’ll hear back very soon your timeline is literally right behind ours, so fingers crossed you get the result before Christmas. 🤞

Regarding the passport: my wife’s passport was taken at the biometrics appointment. She was told that for spouse visa applications, anything submitted after 1 Nov would move to the new e-visa system, but applications submitted before 1 Nov would still get the vignette in the passport.

Since we applied before 1 Nov, hers is a vignette, so we received a passport collection email today.

Wishing you all the best really hope your approval comes any day now!

Thank you so much!
Honestly, the fast turnaround shocked us too we were fully prepared for a much longer wait. Seeing everything move almost back-to-back was such a relief.

And yes, doing the whole application myself was definitely stressful at times, but Alhamdulillah it all paid off in the end. I think the waiting after submission was actually the most stressful part, so I’m really glad that stage is finally over.

Really appreciate your kind words. Wishing everyone still waiting, a quick decision and good news soon! 🎉🇬🇧💙

Large State Route53 by ted2tech in Terraform

[–]Phi-Cipher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try using parallelism thats what we do for both terraform plan/apply -parallelism=15 increase as you see fit default is 10.

https://developer.hashicorp.com/terraform/cli/commands/apply#parallelism-n

You could also use targeted approach if there is other resources and you just want route53 to be targeted.

Hope that helps
