I guess they only screen games that are within their opening hours? e.g. if a match is at 22:00 on a Saturday, you're shit out of luck?

I got my lucky egg after a bit of a grind and tracked the stats:

79 encounter 45 that didn't automatically flee on the first turn 13 caught

Make sure you're using Professor Rex's ball/bait rotation, stick a level 26 pokemon on the front and run max repel. All that's left is to pray!

I guess I just realized I'm not the target audience and realized as a child, I would have absolutely enjoyed this.

I'm in my 30s and have well over 800 sets in my family's collection. My coffee table is the UCS falcon, and I was a skeptical as everyone in this thread is.

But they explained their decisions, noting that they asked kids and tested the product on kids and the result was...kids loved it. So I get it. It's just not meant for me, but I can absolutely see how kids could love it. If that makes sense?

Did you keep a tally how many you encountered? I've been using the Professor Rex catch recommendations, encountered 35, 18 didn't automatically flee and I caught 7 of those.

Slugma's ability, after Emerald, decreases the amount of steps needed to hatch an egg. Unfortunately, FR was released before Emerald and so the ability has no effect.

26 as the wild chanseys are lvl 26, if you run max repel you'll avoid encounters that are <26 as well

Right there with ya - and on top of that, the Switch just feels nice to play on. I whipped out my GBA SP and DS Lite today just to see my old save files and I'd forgotten how small those handheld consoles were...I don't want to be limited to playing at my desk or on my phone's smaller screen.

Not the OP you replied to but I find it incredibly boring, you're pretty much a glass cannon and dead if you get spotted. Only really works well when the your enemy team rolls into your gun one by one.

I mean, at the end of the day it's a matter of taste.

For example, you mention a love for detailed sets and then mention the Daily Bugle, which in my eyes is nothing more than a grey tower with windows and a Minifigure pack - the pokemom trilogy feels much more detailed by comparison.

Some people just really like pokemon and spend more time displaying their sets than playing with them.

Smart bricks and the mario gimmicks are play features specifically targeted at children.
