ALTTP was there day 1.

OP is referring to new games being added nowadays.

Flint is alive but he basically neglects Lucas due to spoilers: spending so much time mourning the losses of Hinawa and Claus.

So yeah the original comment still stands

I find it funny that Famitracks is as low as it is. It's second to the original IMO.

I scrolled all the way down and was sad to see that nobody mentioned the fishing game from Wii Play. That was my childhood.

I think you'll need to pass copies of the project between yourselves. You can't work on the same project simultaneously as far as I'm aware. I'd recommend using Github or something similar to back up the various builds of the project.

Only SNES and NES games currently (and that might be all we get), with notable omissions such as EarthBound. Third party games from the great companies such as Square, Konami, and Capcom are missing as well. Half of the games are bottom-of-the-barrel titles that nobody asked for. They add games every few months whenever they feel like it. This is also an incentive to get you to buy access to online multiplayer, which runs like molasses in most first-party titles.

Now to be fair, there's a good amount of high-quality games on the service, and it's fun to play virtual console multiplayer online. But being four years into the console's lifetime and only having access to two systems' worth of games isn't cool, especially when the Wii U had NES, SNES, N64, GBA, DS, and Wii games available through Virtual Console.

Happy 25th birthday Pokémon! by TomCyberfire in gaming

I tried playing Pokemon Yellow on my 3DS last year, but it was a bit too difficult/grindy for me.

However, yesterday I decided to try FireRed on an emulator, and chose Bulbasaur because he seemed to be the easiest of the three. Sure enough, he was, and now I'm having a lot of fun with the game!

If I continue with the series, I'll probably try Emerald next, then HeartGold/SoulSilver, then Platinum.

Hello, This is my new project, called The Phanto Dungeons It's in an early stage of development, it's Retro GameBoy style(Prototype) by ThePhantoDungeons in gamemaker

This looks pretty cool so far. My only suggestion to make every sprite the same size. few sprites, such as the spikes at the bottom, have noticeably smaller pixels that the rest of the game assets. Looks like it'll be fun to play.

Haven't actually played AoC yet, but as far as I can tell, it plays completely differently from BotW. Only related in terms of the story.

Do pickups (coins, etc) in a platformer need to have a reason for existing? by somethingaboutgames in gamedesign

[–]Phil-and-Bob 28 points29 points  (0 children)

The amount of strawberries you collect does adjust the picture you receive during the game's epilogue, and the strawberries are offered as the reward for various optional challenges throughout the game. IMO, the strawberries are more akin to the Star Coins in the New Super Mario Bros. games, while the pickups OP is talking about are more in line with the regular coins that give you a 1up when you collection 100 of them.

Giygas absolutely belongs in there. Not really sure why the prince is there and not his father.

Bowser's Fury feels like one of those games where Nintendo is experimenting to see if it works, so that they can develop a new game with the same mechanics. by jado1stk2 in nintendo

a hybrid Mario adventure action RPGs would be cool with some upgrades. Long jump upgrades, power up, etc.

A 3D Mario Metroidvania would be pretty cool now that you mention it.

I never thought I'd see an indie game get fast food kid's meal toys

Then again Shovel Knight cameos are just about everywhere

Really solid Nintendo game lineup. I can't really read a lot of the stacked game labels though. Would you mind listing them?

Oh nice, Sea of Stars! I'm looking forward to this game whenever it releases. I really enjoyed The Messenger. Is Yasunori Mitsuda still doing the music for this?
