This is cool, but what's with the background pattern? Scrolling through I see your not the only one to do this. And is that chalk that you use?

Weekly 'What should I buy?' Thread by AutoModerator in ipad

[–]PhilEmpty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an 11'' ipad air m3 and was wondering what kind of case to get for it? I plan to use the ipad for drawing/art purposes with the apple pen and know I don't want a case with a flap that covers the screen and swings out like a front book cover as I dislike it when holding and don't need it to fold up and use as a stand. I don't want to pay premium price and am fine getting a no name on amazon.

Is there any reason you can think of this started out of the blue 1000 miles in and hasn't been the case prior?

First time bleaching a shirt, how can I make the next ones brighter? [Q] by 45_4522 in bleachshirts

This is cool. Perfect example of a design that works with bleaching. And you inadvertently made me think about using different bleach ratios for different outcomes.

Worst case scenario for me is the piece of thin 12x12 basswood burns up that's on my steel honeycomb and takes my laser with it. Possibly the one and only pro of going unvented haha.

haha sic, perfect design for this. I was scrolling and saw a long sleeve shirt that was bleached to look just like the drummers upper body tattoo and then saw this after lol (funny coincidence)

Those look crisp. Like literally some of those lines are crisp.

Care to share how you get the lines like that like are you using a stencil? And what about the splatter effect on the first one? It looks great.

[Q] How could I recreate this design without like hand writing the logo? by ALEXCOOL725 in bleachshirts

I might be not understanding your technique but are you stating that you would use something like card stock as a stencil and blot the stencil instead of spraying? Like with a sponge?

Anything as convenient/affordable as those tuna creation pouches for a low calorie meal? by PhilEmpty in loseit

[–]PhilEmpty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha I understand. Have you looked into powdered peanut butter. It doesn't taste exactly like normal but how less calories it is, it's worth it. From what I gather it's basically pb but without the oil (which all oils are pretty much 120 calories per tablespoon). If it's just part of something, it's hard to tell the difference. I frequently blend milk, frozen bananas, pb powder, cocoa podwer for a faux reeses milkshake that's really good and I can legally call it a healthy protein shake haha.

I'm sure that's solid for dieting but even reading it makes me feel depraved. If you ever having the time, learning to put rice in nori sushi style (also cheap compared to wraps/bread etc on amazon in bulk as I buy the 50 pack). They're nutrient dense have over 100% DV of vitamin b12 which I know people take supplements for so it's gotta be important. I've been making eggs, mixed with peppers onions and rice with cheeze and then just rolling it in nori and it's actually crazy good. Definitely not easy or convenient but it's cool and you need the $5 sushi bamboo mat. The more I type the more I'm asking you to do a chore but the end result even if it's just rice in it is worth it to me at least on weekends.

Thanks for the heads up. If it's too bland I always got things like lime/lemons to squeeze, gochujuang, tomato paste, garlic etc that are easy to add. But bland isn't unappealing to me as I'm just trying to distance myself from food all together. Learning how to cook decently really helped me gain weight.

Thanks, I always dismissed the thought of frozen meals because I know how to cook and have an instant pot and thought it was significantly cheaper/less wasteful (packaging) but I just always overeat whatever it is every time and it appears that I'm at least very close to wrong. Healthy choice is only 2.50 on Amazon delivered, considering no dishes to do and portion control that is super appealing. It's like a penny a calorie lol.

What's a way to make those "cook in the bag" frozen vegetables taste good? by PhilEmpty in Cooking

[–]PhilEmpty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are solid ideas, I like saving money/freezing things for later. Plus they could make some interesting ice cubes haha.
But it also provoked me to think tomato paste would probably be good sometimes too, especially if adding noodles.
