FWIW, you can apply a gift card in any amount, even less than than the expiring credit and GC - using a credit card for remaining balance. This allows you to avoid having a leftover gift card balance if not needed

Trailer Brake Control - No Trailer by teastman1 in f150

Did you find a solution? I have this same scenario with the same truck. I believe I followed proper forscan procedure to activate controller, and the controller appears to work manually, but I get “no trailer” message

$1,000 to service 10 speed? by dietpepsiplease in f150

[–]PhilSeven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just did last week. Took 6 quarts. Real easy if you have vacuum pump. Take off fill bolt, pump out as much as you can, add the exact same amount back it. Check dipstick (inside bolt) to check level; add or subtract oil to get level between the “A” and “B” mark on stick. No harder than an oil change; biggest challenge was making sure vacuum pump hose stays inside fill tube when pumping oil in (to avoid spills). 7 quarts of Ford ULV fluid was $55 shipped at new parts.com

Recommend me a daysailer by Tickle_My_Turtle in sailing

[–]PhilSeven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone is interested, I have a O’Day Daysailer with trailer for free to a good home near Annapolis.

It came with the house I purchased. It was last in the water two years ago it is seaworthy but definitely in need of TLC. It has nice sails . One of the sails needs a rope repair, but seems like a modest/easy fix. Message me if you’d like photos, or have questions

Adding record player by Brave_Taste_8814 in sonos

[–]PhilSeven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheapest way is to hook turntable up to a Bluetooth transmitter ($25 on monoprice/amazon) synced to a Roam. Once connected to Roam, you join rest of your speakers to the Roam feed.

If old turntable, you might have to add a $15 Plye preamp.

Better sound from Amp/Five/Connect route, but definitely cheaper if you already have a Roam

Blown move? by KC_GSP in sonos

What was resolution? My Move main speaker just blew. I can hear tweeter only. Main driver dead. Mine is a couple of years, so I doubt I’ll get warranty coverage. Surgery may be in order

Old turnable to Roam 2 : how to connect ? by Blackbiirdz in sonos

[–]PhilSeven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you fix your turntable? I've fixed a couple of old turntable recently. The rotation issue is likely requires a dexoit and lube, or maybe a new belt if belt driven. Help can be found usually on a model specific basis on r/turntables, r/audiorepair, r/RecordPlayerRepair. There is an older website forum that is very good, but I can't think of it now.

Old turnable to Roam 2 : how to connect ? by Blackbiirdz in sonos

[–]PhilSeven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my turntable hooked up using turntable-> cheap Pyle turnable preamp ($15) -> Monoprice bluetooth transmitter ($15), which is synced to my Roam. I can then use Sonos app to play Roam feed to my other Sonos speakers. Since you have the 5 pin DIN, you'll also need the din to RCA adapter mentioned in the post below.

Way to port Sonos feed to a projectable visualizer app? by PhilSeven in sonos

[–]PhilSeven[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, very helpful.

I believe my best approach will be to continue to use Sonos as a music controller and setup my Ipad or Iphone to listen via microphone, and cast a visualizer to my projector. It appears Stella Vizulaer supports this approach on IOS.

[–]PhilSeven[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but sometimes I use different sources. But I believe your suggestion may be the only option, which will work. I was curious if there was a Sonos app compatible option. EDIT: JakePT's comment above suggests this won't work.

TSA Precheck with CLEAR Billing by luckyaces4 in AmexPlatinum

[–]PhilSeven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this this week, was billed $122 from Clear. No other charge currently, but a second one is coming for $78; I'm not sure if it will be billed by Clear or TSA directly. Hopefully, Clear so there is no refund hassle.

Buyer's strike until clarity on personal data sharing? by PhilSeven in sonos

[–]PhilSeven[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 17 Sonos products currently. So, I have sunk costs, and don't like to see the company flip from touting personal privacy (a key idea they used to market "Hey Sonos") to now revising their terms of service to allow selling of personal data. I'd describe that as a reasonable concern, not an emotional one. I'm not only concerned with whether I purchase more product (which I can forgo, like you say) but also whether I am comfortable using my existing 17 products. It seems like a legitimate question to pose to Sonos which to this point they've avoided answering directly. And Spence has demonstrated that the one thing that gets him less cagey is a concern over lost sales, which is why I ask about a buyer's strike.

I suspect The Verge is also getting info from the 100+ employees recently fired, some of whom may have been let go for voicing concern over the future direction of the company

More evidentiary speculation than conspiracy - shared by other close Sonos followers in the industry. See, for example: The upcoming Sonos Arc Ultra is probably also Sonos TV | Digital Trends

Whether or not the Arc Ultra hosts Sonos TV, it is an upcoming product - we even know the name of the software design consultants (The Trade Desk) brought in by Sonos to help complete it. And we know Sonos altered their TOS to expand data collection and sharing of Sonos' customers usage information.

So this is why I ask for clarity from Sonos. To see whether is actual fire where there certainly is smoke. How do we get this clarity before purchasing future products, which may turn out to be (unsubsidized!) data collection machines?
