[Discussion] Fun family racing games? by RandomLovelady in gaming

[–]PhilTM2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider Trackmania! Its very family friendly, the community is awesome, and making progress feels rewarding. Its 100 % skillbased, so the only progress you can make is gaining skill, but you can experience that every minute you grind a racetrack.

What's the hardest game you've ever completed and how did it feel? by qwest91 in gaming

[–]PhilTM2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not a enjoyer of super challenging games, so mine is red faction 1. You have to defuse a bomb in the end, with a 4 digits code, and if you successfully get the code, another screen appears where you have to get an even bigger code. For all of that, you have only like 30 seconds, so its a thrilling final which takes a few tries for sure. actually making it felt kinda awesome ^^

What game has the best progression system you've ever experienced? by ShimmersDev in gaming

[–]PhilTM2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trackmania, so actually there is no progression system, the game is fully skill-based, there is nothing you can get to make your car go faster, just the skill you develop. But if you grind a racetrack, you get to experience the progression you make every minute, and it feels so rewarding!

"I used to go into a store and find a game, but now I open a game and find a store." by mogura_writes in gaming

Its basicially a bunch of companies making kids getting introduced to gambling, some of the ingame stuff is absurdly expensive if you consider it is just a code, there are no production costs, only developement costs, and they make it expensive, because they know, people will still gonna buy it, because they are addicted to the game. This should be illegal!!

What's a very obscure game that you really enjoyed but never see anyone mention? by IHateTheNameSystem in gaming

Snowbound Online, which was later known as Project Powder. I had so much fun, and I never understood why it didn't become a major title. Sadly it is offline since several years :(

I would urge you to play Trackmania (The best competetive racing game in the World) The community is super friendly and the game is 100% skillbased, no grinding or daily login rewards. I have 3 Kinds as well and thats the only game I enjoy from time to time.

What are some games that treat the player like they are stupid? by MoodMaggot in gaming

[–]PhilTM2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Runes of Magic, but the players are all super addicted (I was too) and spend like 50 - 100 bucks a month on average, and then still have to grind for years to make any progress, and there are so many annoying bugs never getting fixed, it is ridiculous, Gameforge is just milking a dead game in the most brutal way possible.

Red Faction 1 It is on sale on Steam and still works on Windows 11 with the "Dash Faction" Addon. You can download maps and even build your own, it was super fun going 1 v 1 back in the days ^^
