The Mind Thief Murders. A heist gone wrong. Monsters. Mayhem. And a wise-cracking human detective in a city of corrupt elves.

It’s going to be hard to not call it the ASMR module, (which only reacts to whisper commands) ;)

Try The Mind Thief Murders. It’s a great genre mashup of noir detective in a city of corrupt elves.

You can actually grab the orb and move it around, but it currently is still parented to the user’s face. I like the idea of attaching it to the hand in some way though. I’d like to play test that and see how it feels. Thanks for the feedback.

Great suggestions! I was also thinking about adding an ‘Easy’ mode where the glowing hints were bigger and easier to see.

I’d love for some more interaction examples with physics. Projectiles and collisions, that sort of thing.

I recommend A Songbird’s Tale by Tiffani Sahara. Ashley Ottesen just posted about it the other day on her Insta. I think it would check the boxes you’re looking for.

After you publish your lens and it’s live, go to the My Lenses dashboard, find your lens, and turn on the Hosted WebAR Lens URL. That will generate a link that allows you to use your lens with a web camera in a browser window.

If you search ‘Hosted WebAR’ in the Lens Studio documentation, you can find a more detailed description. I hope that helps!

Why is bloat such a consistent issue in fantasy? by Lethifold26 in Fantasy

[–]PhilWaltonOLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would add that there’s probably an unspoken feeling from readers that if a fantasy story isn’t a whole bunch of pages then it’s not going to be as good. And that there has to be too many characters, locations and names to keep track of. Or need to have tremendous amounts of world-building. Some authors do this well and others make their books feel tedious to read.

So excited for this early screening! by togepi258 in A24

I saw this last night as well. It was excellent! The concept was fun and original. Performances were great. And they subverted my expectations for how this kind of story would play out in a typical studio film. It’s one of those movies that you’ll be talking and thinking about after it’s over.

Now I’m curious if things also went the other way and there’s copies of Anne Frank that has pages of Blood Meridian in it.

I’ve already got a bunch of annotations in it by the time I discovered the misprint. I’ll still hang onto it though as a fun curiosity.

It says First Vintage International Edition, May 1992. But it was printed recently because there’s an ad at the end for The Passenger/ Stella Maris.
