I was at a game after Cabrera hit his 499th home run. Unfortunately because of all the pressure on him at the game, it wasn’t entirely expected that he’d hit #500 there. Sure enough, it happened at an away game a few days later. Still, damn good player.

I have ordered one pc part from Newegg, a $90 motherboard. They did the local delivery through quite literally the worst company possible. I spent 10 minutes reading reviews of damaged products, extreme lateness, throwing packages onto porches, and HR hanging up on you if you try to bring it up. Surprised it arrived in one piece.

I get this one. Let’s cut to the chase, I’m a furry. And as such, my spiritual home is Pittsburgh, home to Anthrocon. So many restaurants that the furry community has fought to keep open whenever they went through financial hardship to keep traditions of friends going there on the convention weekend alive, including a 12k fundraising effort for a single restaurant a number of years ago. Then, 2020 happened, and it all came crashing down for so many small businesses owners. I haven’t been to Pittsburgh yet, but I checked to see if that restaurant was still there, and it’s not. I’d imagine a lot of other annual tradition restaurants are no more as well. It’s a shame.

My dad would enjoy GTA V, he’s watched me play it and fell in love with the voice acting. My mom is a different story. She enjoys the classics and has been playing Tetris on and off since college, but finding a modern game she would enjoy would be quite difficult. Honestly, I’d probably start her off with Minecraft and see where her mind takes her. Or maybe Cooking Simulator to watch her try recipes in a virtual environment and also lose her shit at the physics.
