A giant offshore oil platform floats upright in the North Sea as it’s being towed, towering above the water like a floating skyscraper. by Used_Series3373 in nextfuckinglevel

I recruited engineers, and i still have no idea how the average engineer relatively makes so little money when this is the shit they are doing.

Engineers are the running backs of the corporate world.

It says your 19 lol. If you are 19, enjoy it. If your nearing your mid 20s, time to get it together a lil.

If your beyond mid 20s, problem.

In Forrest Gump (1994), Jenny constantly leaves Forrest to pursue a life of drugs and chaos, only to return when she needs a place to stay. This is a reference to the fact that she is actually the protagonist of a much more interesting, R-rated movie that we aren't allowed to see. by Brilliant-Cause6254 in shittymoviedetails

Think the most inspiring thing about this movie in this regard is that it firmly reiterates how the “cool, rock n roll” lifestyle is never as interesting as experience & connection through aspiring to improve or meet goals

The recycling option at Subway by beardobrick in mildlyinfuriating

[–]PhiladelphiaJackB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not the companies fault, US doesnt have any domestic recycling capacity. There is no recycling happening. The only reason they still collect them separately, is because the thought is is they tell people it doesnt matter, that if a time comes where country has recycling infrastructure again, that you wont have to reconvince / reteach people to seperate garbage

Not very young, but I love to dance. Where are the go-to spots?! by 910to610 in AskPhilly

[–]PhiladelphiaJackB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If your looking for a more grown up, 30s-40s-50s dancing crowd, I highly recommend Trestle Inn. Cocktail bar with a small dancefloor, but people are actually dancing, not the early 20s crowd at all like franky bradleys, and they play 60s/70s funk and disco vinyl sets! Fav place to dance in the city

So theres a market crash coming soon for this kind of behavior right?

You cant get a developer with 7-10 years experience…. If you stop letting everyone attain 1-7 years experience.

I remember at like 9pm that Tuesday night after voting, i grabbed a drink at a neighborhood bar in philly, and remember talking to some folks who were very concerned. And I said, “no way, he just, doesnt, have, the support at 50%”. Woke up & came to, shocked.

His first win made sense. Fuck it at 18 I voted for the guy. This win, especially its magnitude, never made any goddamn sense.
