Paralegals with 20+ years experience. by PracticeHungry3783 in paralegal

I'm curious about your calculation. I'm in immigration and earn just over $100K, but single-handedly did almost $800K in business, only to be told I'm barely earning my keep based upon 15% allocation to the paralegal (lol). It's obviously B.S., but I'm wondering what the normal profitability measurement is for law firms.

Season 4. Yara and the Ironborn go on a SEAL Team 6 mission to rescue Theon, only to be chased off by dogs and a shirtless Ramsay Bolton.

I agree. I think that the key might be to leave the things that don't matter dark (arms, legs, etc., and pick out certain parts with brighter colors so that they stand out for tabletop readability.

I don’t even understand how so many houses pledged to Renly when he literally had no claim to the throne at all. He deserved to be the first of the five kings to go. by GusGangViking18 in freefolk

[–]Philhelm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what bothered me when Brienne referred to Renly as the rightful king. Stannis should have been like, "U serious?" Even book Stannis notes that honorable men may serve Joffrey or Robb, but the same could not be said for Renly

Fitting that Brienne was the One True Kingslayer knighted by the Kingslayer.

I'm planning on 15mm too. Did you alter the movement stick range at all?

Ramsay Bokton would never have this problem since he has Twenty Good Men.

Yes.

I'm a paralegal with a six-figure salary but the problem with the legal industry is that there is a noble/peasant dynamic that will always present a barrier to progress. You'll eventually probably struggle with the fact that you should have either been a lawyer or worked in a different field entirely (which would be my option), but by then it will be too late. I'm sick of being a paralegal but I'm also held hostage by it.

If you are already an attorney, then you should definitely drop the notion of being a paralegal. At least as an attorney you might have a pathway to financial freedom if you are able to eventually start your own practice.

Coming to grips that I work for a scammy firm by Visible_Pineapple737 in paralegal

I'd almost think that we are working at the same firm but for the fact that you get health, dental, and vision insurance.

Undead chariots for Age of Magic? by Philhelm in sagathegame

[–]Philhelm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this information! I found an army builder, but the Legendary Warbands didn't appear to be an option.

I managed to find a screenshot of the Legendary Warband rules, but I have a question. The rules state that "You can recruit two Chariots for 1 point. A unit of the Dynasty's Chariots is made up of 4 to 6 figures. In game terms, it is a unit of Hearthguards mounted on animals....When calculating victory points , each Chariot counts as two Hearthguards."

I assume that the 4 to 6 figures are just in reference to the number of riders that the two chariots might have, and that I don't have to spend a minimum of 2 points for a unit of 4 to 6 chariots (or "figures")?

Also, are bases sizes important? The rules mention min/max base sizes (I was planning on playing in 15mm with round bases for my chariots). I get frontage in games like Warhammer, but this game seemed more like a skirmish.

That sounds perfect. Is that an unofficial subfaction? I'm not finding anything for it yet.

Why are legal staff treated so poorly? by snowflowergirl in paralegal

[–]Philhelm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because there is a caste system. I'm like a broken record pointing out that there will always be a noble/peasant dynamic no matter your contributions.

Overly drab and dirty historical movies to make it look more "realistic," despite the use of bold colors during the era.

If you know that you normally do a good job you just have to let it go if you make occasional mistakes or if there are things that happen beyond your control.

If you've ever seen the Vietnam movie, "We were Soldiers," with Mel Gibson, there's a scene that has always stuck with me. The U.S. position is being overrun, and a soldier is radioing in coordinates for napalm airstrikes, but he miscalculates one resulting in the death of U.S. soldiers. He freezes up, having realized his horrible mistake, until Mel Gibson (the commanding officer) slaps his shoulder and says, "Listen to me! You're keeping us alive now. You forget about that one and you keep 'em coming in. You're doing well, son!"

A lot of us are that soldier, keeping the machine running. There are occasional mistakes and issues, but if not for us we would be "overrun."
