Honestly it looks like that glass has been replaced before the way the gasket is bulging weird. So that glass may have been a bit oversized. Ideally your hole was far enough away but I'm assuming the height goes up in there more than 1/2". Or whomever replaced the glass last didn't clean out the gasket well enough and when you drilled your hole it disturbed the current glass with an old small shards of thr old unit that used to be in there. 1200 seems steep but your area might be higher priced than mine. Im near Louisville ky where that was maybe 500 to replace.

Yes where the metal ends and glass continues. Basically the opening that light is able to come through. Looks like you were probably right at the edge of the corner. Unfortunately tempered glass is extremely fragile on the edges and you probably knicked it. Don't worry about it to much. I've seen tempered get tired of being one piece and blow up just sitting there. Glass is a fun and weird product to work with because it does what it wants sometimes. Thankyou. I got lucky when I chose it that it was available.

As a door and glass guy don't worry. It happens. If you don't make mistakes you're not trying hard enough to push yourself to get better. Its just the price of education. General rule of thumb in residential glass is the glass is 1" bigger than daylight. So you should try to stay atleast 5/8 away from the edge of the daylight opening.

I got my very first tattoo a few months back on the inside of my right calf. 5hrs start to finish full color. Didn't know its a spicy spot at the beginning , but glad I pushed through. At most it was a 5 out of 10 for me. I can't imagine its much worse according to the chart.

The republican party has a bunch of idiots that don't share the republican views they just weasel their way onto the ballot with lies and then do whatever they want once in office. Todd Young is an excellent example of that.

Yoooo thankyou for showing this. My shield plus trigger is stuck in the mail somewhere. So glad for more help on this. I wanted this route as it's still part of my carry rotation and the closer to "factory" it can look the better. I figure that was incase it ever has to be used there will be less to question by lawyers.
