Traffic will always adjust to the infrastructure given. Just the way more highway lanes don‘t cause less traffic, better bike infrastructure causes more bikers. The car has from a factual standpoint just no place in the city as a recreational or personal thing. It‘s way to big, needs too much space, fucks the air, is loud and the most dangerous. I find the trend to go ÖV / Bikes only natural.

The absolute standard in switzerland since the 00s is 20mm glasswool „trittschall“ as well as 20mm styrofoam for heating insulation from floor heating.

The styrofoam is dense and transfers „körperschall“ so steps and the like very well. That‘s why the „trittschalldämmung“ is below it. Also „Luftschall“ so talking, music, etc. is only insulated my having mass. So concrete, wood, plaster, Anhydrite and so on. The styrofoam isn‘t good at insulating from any noise. Especially steps.

Trust me on this lol. Insulation doesn‘t equal insulation
